Do you know why in Allure Magazine in 2002 The Reader’s Choice Award for Best Foundation went to Revlon Colorstay Make Up Oil Free Foundation??? Of course you do, because it works and it keeps on working. I am not sure how many years I have been using Revlon Colorstay Make Up in general, but I know it has to be over five. I, being an oily skin type, love the Revlon Colorstay Make Up

Foundation that is Oil Free and comes with an SPF of 6. I have remained with the #7, True Beige throughout the years and faithfully it has never done me wrong.

Revlon Colorstay Make Up Foundation has been a staple in my make up drawer. I love the way it smoothes over my skin, hiding my blemishes and discolorations. It isn’t too heavy that I feel like I have foundation on. Why do they call it Colorstay? It stays on and it doesn’t rub off onto the color of your shirt or if you go to hug another and get their shirt. It feels luxurious on my skin and I am willing to pay a little bit more for a product that has been successful with me.

The bottle come is 1.25 fl oz/37 ml and lasts me about 3 months. It can vary in cost. I have bought it as low as $3.99 on sale at the grocery market or as high as almost $10.00 elsewhere. It doesn’t matter to me because nevertheless it is a MUST.

The best part is the fact that it is an Oil Free Foundation. I have found with other foundations that after a while my make up could just wipe off of my face with my hand. Colorstay controls that for you and remains in place, even under hot conditions. I do live in the land of the desert, Arizona, so I have tested it in up to 118 degree weather. Even with a bead of sweat here and there, the make up remains flawless.

Revlon does say that the Colorstay Make Up Foundation is dermatologist tested and non-comedogenic.

The directions are simple: You just shake up the bottle before application. “Apply to one area of face at a time and blend with fingertips. Sets in 60 seconds to a natural finish. Remove with Facial Cleanser.” (taken from Bottle of Revlon Colorstay Make Up Foundation) Removing is the only downside that I have seen with this product. Sometimes it is not the easiest to take off and a facial cleanser really is necessary to take it off thoroughly and completely.

The Active Ingredient is Titanium Dioxide 7.4%. No animal, vegetable or mineral oil.

There is also a WARNING on the bottle which states: “For external use only. Not to be swallowed. Avoid Contact with Eyes. Discontinue use if signs of irritation or rash appear.” I have extremely sensitive skin and have yet to have any irritations from using this product.

Since I am Asian, I used to have a difficult time finding a foundation that suited my skin color until I discovered Revlon Colorstay Make Up Foundation. It blends evenly and nicely with my skin and doesn’t leave that ring near my neck that I see so many women have. I highly recommend this product, even if you find it to be expensive, it is worth every penny. Enjoy.
