Ease of Use:

I have had a hard time finding a replacement foundation for my favorite Mary Kay foundation that I stopped using when I stopped selling Mary Kay products- Colorstay is the best I have found so far.

Colorstay comes in a heavy glass bottle with a twist off lid- I prefer a pump like the colorstay natural comes in- but oh well.

I paid around $8.00 at Walmart for this but many places it can run as much as $12.00

I use the color buff which is pretty much an exact match for my skin tone. It is a fair, neutral , yellow based tone with no pink or peach cast.

I really have been torn between this and the Colorstay stay natural (which I have also used) but the ''original'' colorstay seems to be winning the battle.

This foundation truly does last. Fact is when its applied it sets in 60 seconds and it will not budge.

Colorstay, I feel, is only good for oily skin- dry skin will only look drier using this foundation.

I have very oily skin and this foundation has not caused me to break out.

I have also found that less is truly more with this foundation. Using even a little to much will leave you looking like you are wearing a mask.

I have found if you apply this lightly to your face in sections, and only use it where you need it, instead of an all over face application you will get much better results. This is a full coverage foundation so no concealer is needed when using this.

I do like this foundation and I also like the Colorstay stay natural the Colorstay stay natural does not look mask like if overdone and it has a creamier feel and does not set as quick as the regular Colorstay- however it does not last as long and oily skin will have oil breakthrough quicker than with the original Colorstay.

I think I am going to blend my colorstay and colorstay natural to see if I get the ''perfect'' foundation- if not I think the original Colorstay will have to be my foundation of choice.
