There is only ONE Resurrection!. Review on Resurrection Movie

I have seen this movie over and over again. I just feel that the acting was superb and the plot was awesome. I guess the real or basic reason that I decided to watch this movie in the first place was due to how real it possibly can be. I’m sure some where in the US a crime like this one has happened once or twice, if not then I will be very surprised. So let me go into more detail about the movie.

Resurrection

The movie begins with a man named John Prudhomme; he is cop who just lost his son. He wasn’t able to deal with the lose so he was acting a little strange. Then all of a sudden John is asked to investigate some crimes that were going on in the city. There was a serial killer lose, and he was taken body parts off his victims after their death, or should I say that they were not always dead before he started hacking away at them?

After John kept investigating the crimes he realized that each body that was discovered had Roman Numerals on their body. He then started to put it all together each number was a passage from the Holy Bible, so John went to the Catholic Church and started to ask questions about his faith and God. One other thing that John and his partner figured out was that each person who was killed also had a Biblical name example: Peter, Paul, Thomas and etc. So those were Jesus disciple’s names in the Bible. There is also one other thing that is weird, and that was each person killed was considered a sinner in the killers eye.

One day when they were at a crime scene were a young man was tied to a wooden beam in a house that wasn’t fully finished being built they ran into the killer. John and his partner both went after him, well during the hunt for the killer it took them into the dark alleyway beside the house were they were. John see this man coming down the alley, it looked like the killer and he started to yell at him and tell him to stop before he shot, but the figure kept walking towards him, so John ended up shooting the man. When the went over to unmask the killer John was shocked to see that it was his partner. Here John’s partner was captured by the killer and the killer put his cloths or rain coat on him and then stuffed his mouth shut so he couldn’t speak to allow anyone to know it wasn’t the killer.

After they took him to the hospital Johns friend had lost his leg, they had to cut it off. Well all of a sudden they couldn’t find his leg, here it was stolen from the hospital. Very strange huh? John felt guilty about his partners condition, he felt like he was the one who put him in the hospital. John’s partner never thought he would be able to walk the “beat” again after this accident. He wanted John to find who ever it was that done this too him.

Then John was called to his home, the killer had struck once again, but this time it was personal it was John’s wife that the killer was now after. He wanted John to repent of his sins and when John walks into his home he sees a woman on the floor all covered in blood and blood all over the house. He started to cry cause he couldn’t believe that his wife was just killed and he wasn’t home to save her. Then a few moments later his wife walks through the door. What is going on here? You now find out that the lady who is killed was not his wife, but instead it was I believe his wife’s sister or best friend who came to visit them and John had forgotten all about it. So this was good for John his wife was still alive!

Oh I forgot to mention that during all this time a FBI agent was now introduced into the ring, he was the one helping figure out the profile of the killer and giving a few informative clues. John really liked this FBI agent and was happy to meet with him. The killings kept going on and finally they realized that the killer was going to try to resurrect a body on Easter Sunday, just like Christ done!

They find out who the killer is, but they have no evidence to keep him in jail. So he is now back out on the streets and believe me wait till you find out who the killer was in the first place. Now the entire killer needs is a newborn baby that is born on one special day, and he needs that baby’s heart to finish up the body that he was making.

When the cops finally found the house were the killer was keeping all the body parts he starts to get sick. He can’t understand or believe that someone could be as sick as this man was. In this one room he had all the body parts sown together and he seen his partners leg on the body part. They were sown together and hanging from a cross. Each piece of body part was taken from each person that he killed. It was a sick site to see and flies were buzzing around the dead flesh and the smell I can only assume was disgusting! Some of the cops ended up throwing up. This was how they figured out what the killer’s next plan was and that was the heart of an innocent newborn baby.

conclusion

I really liked this movie like I mentioned at the begging of the review. I will not tell you who the killer ends up being, and I wont tell you if this killer ended up getting that heart from the baby or not and if the body he created ever came to life LOL. But I will however tell you that this killer was one sick man, I can’t even begin to imagine killing anyone yet alone take a part of their body home with me and try to build myself a new image of Christ! Some real wakoes out there ah? Almost forgot, does John’s partner go back to the streets as a cop or does he give up and die? ( I know he didn’t want to live cause he felt his whole life was gone now since he lost that leg)

The movie isn’t for young kids, and if you don’t have a good stomach then I would say don’t watch the movie because it does show some pretty sick stuff, I’m lucky I can handle most of it. I will say that I did once turn my head away from the TV when I was watching one part, but I wont tell you which one (ha, ha). I felt the plot was good, and the story progressed fast and kept me interested through out it. In fact that is why I had to watch this movie like 4 more times cause it was so intense. No it isn’t considered a horror movie, sorry spookaay but it is considered a thriller and has lots of action. So you can put away all those crosses, and garlic and holy water and oh yeah the sliver bullets can go back in the closet, because those types of things wont help John out in this movie. lol
