I have an account with the rogue bank ICICI. I made a transfer from my current account of the same bank to savings account of the same rogue bank on 18th september 2005. It did not confirm with hot payment number and so I transferred again and got the confirmation. When I checked with my savings account, I found 2 transfers so I reversed one transaction to the current account and got the hot payment confirmation. The very next day, I got many smses showing a credit and debit transaction each and the final sms stating a balance without transferred amount. I immediately arranged for a cash deposit into my savings acc on the same day. On 20th I got an sms stating that the cheque I issued was dishonoured due to lack of funds. When I enquired with a joker at the rogue bank, I was told that I did a transfer on 19th! I did not logon to my account after 18th but they claimed the transaction to take place on 19th through web transfer. I took up the issue with banking ombudsman expecting them to do justice but the case prolonged till march and they finally said that the rogue is always right and that I had to pay a price for opening an account with the rogue bank!! I wrote a letter to RBI but to no anvil. Recently when I visited the bank, The joker asked me to close my account!! I asked him to give the same in writing and I would follow suit. They instead started harassing me by deducting Rs 1047 as Quarterly balance maintenance charges. RBI came up the so called ''no frills account'' for which the minimum balance will be very less which the rogue is not implementing. if we keep it aside, QBMC is Rs 500 as specified by the rogue then why am I deducted with Rs 1047?? Will the RBI or Banking Ombudsman answer?? They cant because they are in deep sleep.... till ICICI replicates Global trust bank RBI will keep snoring...
