I am among those customers who booked this car on its very launch day! and since then I waited for this car like a real despo. I booked this car in the month of September and received it in the last week of December 2015. It’s been more than 7 months since I am using this car and the experience I have had is something which I feel should be expressed as loud as possible, there are reasons behind it and reasons are rather horrifying.
Kwid is my first car, I had never drove any other car before, even I learned driving using my first own car'Kwid'. There were few more friends and colleagues of mine who booked this car at the same time and we all were very excited to own this car. I had done almost all researches on this car, regarding the mileage, performance and all other technical aspect and surprisingly all the reviews which I read or saw were so positive, I mean not even in one review I heard anything negative and now I seriously feel they all were paid reviews, if not, then how still all the reviews just show this car as the perfect car. Forgot to mentioned, as kwid was my first car and I didn’t even know to drive, so I took one of my friends for test drive, and I personally had no clue how this car actually performed when I first took the ride in my dream car.
So it actually took bit longer for me to understand and start measuring the performance of this car. well I started experiencing few of the issues from very beginning but I always thought that this must be the case with all the other cars as well.
1) The very first issue which I had was "Jerk", I don’t use my car daily its always once or twice in week, hardly 60-90 km per week and close to 500 km per month. So the first time when I had this Jerk issue I actually got very nervous and took the car to service center immediately, there I was told that'because I dent use this car daily and also that I am new driver, I am not getting use to with the clutch, hence this can be the reason behind jerk'. I just took that the way they described and conceived the fact that it was me not the car's fault. this issue does happen still and now I am quite sure that its not me but the car.
2) The another issue which started noticing was, the car used to be dead when the AC is on and car is on the lower gear, like 2 gear, basically when you are in traffic. Again I thought this must be the case with every other car, also I was told by a lot of other people that the car's performance goes down once the AC is on. So I thought this just one of those same things and started to live with this, but recently one of my friends was driving this car and he complaint that this car just does not move, he even showed the accele_45rator as how hard he was pushing it to the last but the car just didnt move. than I started realizing that this was not normal but actually a bug.
3) You turn on the engine and see how your car starts vibrating, I can compare this with Truck.
4) Gaps all over, I mean it’s like they have provided storing places even outside. They are nothing but perfect rooms for dust. you'll die cleaning them.
5) I should have kept this point on the top but realized that this must be the last thing to talk about. and this issue is about'Brakes'.
Take this point very seriously guys, this is a risk to your life. you are spending close to 5 lakhs for this car and this car is actually a very dangerous and horrifying threat. I had experienced it on a very first week itself but took that as my driving skill issue but now after having it experienced continuously, I must say that I am playing with my life every time I drive this car.
I love driving car and when I get a chance I push this car to its limits, undoubtedly if the AC is not on and you have a clean clear road you can feel the real joy. But having said so, I have experienced a severe brake issue which occurs even when you are not in high speed. in this, your brake becomes very stiff and you will not be able to push it any further, what this actually does is, you cannot stop the car. I am so tensed specially when I am driving this car and I have to keep my hand always on Hand Break. don’t be shocked but there have been several instances where I have used the hand break because the leg breaks failed to respond. I don’t need to explain as what may go wrong when you face this fault.
Now few points which I am not sure about but I feel that this can happen with few other things as well which we personally don’t utilize on a daily basis or something which we are not exposed to. Here I am talking about the Air Bags, my car has Driver Side Air bag, this can explain why I am so concerned about the safety, I seriously doubt that the Airbag is going to work when the situation really occurs. and if this really happens, I guess that would be really late.
Guys, however is reading this, if you have this car already and feel that you also have the same issues as mentioned above, I am sure most of us already have it, so let’s spread this among those who are planning to buy this car or even to those who already have this car, please get united, remember we are not someone who can afford to buy a another car if this car is not up to the mark, do not start live with this car thinking that no one can do anything and there is no other option. for most of us and I believe for all of us, this is our first car so please educate others. For us, owners like me, let us force this company to recall all its Kwid and fix all the bugs. we do not need our money back even if we ask for it they will never do so, rather ask them to fix these bugs and give us the safe car.
