I put off my decision to buy a new vehicle for four months in anticipation of Duster.  Killer looks.  As you get in, the handle feels flimsy.but the seating is very comfortable.the excellent ground clearance does the trick.  Missed an arm-rest.  The dashboard appeared a little tacky as did the plastics.  It took a little while.just a little.before I felt the surge of power in the engine.  Very smooth and comfy drive.just rode in city, of course.  A very good grip and grounded.

As I looked around, the boot space is large & good.  However, the lid material and  mounting mechanism appeared flimsy.  The tyre is beneath, but the sales guy promised an opening from the top to  access it.

The petrol variant does not offer ABS and EBD!  Imagine!  No option at all. The much touted independent rear AC vent in the top end version is sore stand out that will also discomfort the passenger in the middle.a tad thoughtless and unimaginative engineering!

I may have YET gone for the vehicle.  However, I have been in touch with the dealer for nearly 3 weeks.  Rather non-responsive and non-committal.  Mein aisa hi hoon.take me or leave me.types.  The dealer promised to send their evaluator over for the car that I would have put in for exchange.  Despite repeated requests, nobody turned up.  I was put from one sales guy to another.and I now practically know the names of all the staff at the dealer.  This, when I shared that my purchase decision would be immediate as I was only waiting for the launch and a test drive.  When I went for the test drive, I waited for a good two hours.at the end  of it, when I went back for checking on the accessories, delivery period.the response was."it will take 60 days.but cannot say.it can be three months.whatever the company says" .and the guy moved on.  A fair product, not without shortcomings, but launched rather poorly.  First impressions linger.as they say.

It occurred to me that guys who are least bothered about sales cannot exactly extend good after sales support.  And Renault after all has very very limited sales and support centres even in Aamchi Mumbai.  I walked out happy that the decision was done.  I had test driven.  And I knew the alternative that I had made more sense.  Thanks, Renault.
