I was using reliance data card for around 2 years. I moved to a different locality within Chennai and due to signal issues and connectivity problems I decided to disconnect the data card.
Around 2 months back, I went to a Reliance outlet in velachery and paid Rs 680 which was outstanding, and also filled a form along with my address proof and passport size photo. I waited in the outlet until they told that my connection is disconnected.
I verified that my data card was disabled on the next day[ got authentication failure ], and I thought every thing ended. However I started getting SMS from last one month saying that payment is due, and I ignored it thinking its some billing fault. I got a call from Reliance asking me to pay the dues or face dire consequences. I explained the whole thing to the reliance customer support, they are still sending me reminders to pay around Rs 2223. They are also threatening that I will face LEGAL ACTION if I do not pay Rs 2223. This totally fraud to demand for money even after disconnecting the data card months before. This will be completely bad to Reliance reputation if they have any.
I am going to raise this on more social platforms to prevent others getting victimized to reliance fraud.I guess Reliance is trying to make some money out of even disconnected customers. If its done by mistake I am fine. I urge reliance to stop sending me emails and sms asking for payment.
