New Rates from 1st April. Review on Reliance Mobile Operator

Reliance Tariff will be in effect from 1st April 2003

Reliance is still sticking to its promised Airtime Rates.

But they are saying that due to new interconnect charges there will be some OFF NET OPERATOR CHARGES from 1st April

I am reliance user in Mumbai.

Following charge will be applicable to me.

I am giving the charge per call structure

you can calculate your usage accordingly

For ease of calculations I am giving the total monthly bill you will get according to new rates assuming you will be using your 400 mins outgoing fully and only one type of call of the following.

The monthly bill

= total off net charge applicable + ( 500/600 per month)

Charges per min in Rs.

RIM to RIM Rs. 0.40/min

Monthly bill 0 + 600 = Rs. 600

RIM to Any mobile anywhere in INDIA (YES THAT IS TRUE)

Rs. 0.40+ 0.30(interconnect charges to mobile operator) =0.70/min

Monthly bill = 120 + 600 = Rs. 720

This is good news because you can call any mobile in India including your local area at same 0.70/min

RIM to Landline is divided in three parts

1) less than 50 km (local area ie SDCA)

0.40 + 0.50 (interconnect to MTNL) = 0.90/min

monthaly bill = 200 + 600 = Rs. 800

2) Between 50 to 200 km

0.40 + 1.00 (interconnect to MTNL) = 1.40/min

monthly bill = 400 + 600 = Rs. 1000

3) Above 200 km

0.40+ 2.00(interconnect to MTNL)= 2.40/min

monthly bill= 800 + 600 = Rs. 1400

Example if your usage is 400 min out of which

80 calls to Landline (local area i.e. your city)

80 calls to landline (50 km to 200 km)

80 calls to landline (above 200 km)

80 calls to Reliance (Anywhere in INDIA)

80 calls to GSM Mobile (Anywhere in INDIA)

OFF NET OPERATOR CHARGES ON ABOVE ARE

40+80+160+0+56=326( you will have to pay)

Add 600 Rs you are paying per month to reliance(already paid by post dated cheques)

Total bill will be 926 Rs.
