I am married to a Mad Girl with No Divorce Option . Review on Reliance Mobile Operator

This review is for al those who are planning to buy Reliance India Mobile. The people who have already bought this JUNK (Like Me), I can feel sorry and I am with them to share their emotions. Now if you planning to get trapped in this duping game, please read on...

Let me start with the post paid option first with a hypothetical situation. You are ready to marry and seen a lots of girls. Finally you liked a girl (Reliance India Mobile) which was presented before you with nice make-up, cute figure, hi-fi living style, and lots of feature. You will definitely think that what the hell you want other than what you are getting. You agree to marry the girl but your would be father-in-law (Ambani's) wants you to sign a contract that you will not divorce the girl before at least 3 years.

Now you might be thinking that when you are getting a wonderful wife, why on earth you would like to divorce her, and you sign the contract. You are married now and you bring your newly wedded wife (Reliance India Mobile) home. Day one - she is not ready to get up in the morning (no service). You forgive her since it is just the first day. That behavior continues for 1 month, 2months....and she gets up sometime (you get connection sometime) but most of the time she is ill.

Finally after 2 months you came to know that she is mad and you cannot stay with her even for 3 years. What should you do? Lodge a Complain with her relatives (Reliance Web World, Phone Calls and many such relatives) but they say that they are helpless since they hardly know you or the girl (Ouch!!). Finally you are ready to divorce and then the father in law shows you the contract you signed. You are completely trapped and you have to stay with this mad girl for at least 3 years. I hope you understood what do I mean.

Now let me come to the point. I subscribe to Reliance India Mobile in March 2003 and since then, my life has changed completely. I have grown more than 50% grey hairs, my bank balance going low and I am really afraid to use this phone. Whenever I take the phone out of my pocket, I feel like throwing the phone on the face of Reliance people. The have completely duped me and there is nothing I can do since I have signed a contract for 3 years.

Initially I subscribed to Dhirubhai Ambani Pioneer Offer. The plan was 5000/- (3000/- club membership+ 2000/-STD deposit) advance and 12 Post dated cheques of 1800/-. The promised me lots of things (you can read these things in other reviews...they are same) which the never gave me. I am not mentioning all these things in details since lots of other people have mentioned those things in their reviews.

I wanted to change my plan in Oct 2003 from Dhirubhai Ambani Pioneer offer to Budget 149/- they charged me 350/- towards migration fee told me that they will return my unused cheques and 2000/- STD deposit. They never refunded my cheques and 2000/-. They took 4 months to change my plan after at least 50 calls and 20 visits to Web World.

What happened after the change of plan is all mystery. I got a bill of 2800/- in next month with previous dues 2000/-. I went to Reliance Web World with all my previous bills and they told that they are not able to understand the reason of this previous due and asked me to go to the billing department (Near Shivananda Circle, Bangalore). The lady in the billing department took 30 mins to try to understand the reason for this due and finally gave up.

Now every month I get that 2000/- extra (Guys...Are you feeling my pain) Now next thing is for both the current subscribers and would be subscribers. I get the bills even for the calls which are never answered of if the phone at other side is engaged (Have you ever heared this....Yes they charge you). If you go to Web Worlds, they claim that they are giving a phone worth 10300/- free (If you are planning to go for Post Paid). The same phone is for 6400/- as soon as you opt for Pre Paid (Now this is what I call Dhirubhai Ambani's Pioneer Magic....how to convert 6400/- into 10300/- in 1 sec) GUYS AND GALS....Dont be trapped in RELIANCE INDIA MOBILE. I WISH AMBANIs READ THESE REVIEWS AND STOP LOOTING THE POOR INDIAN PUBLIC. THEY HAVE LOTS OF MONEY AND THEY CAN FIND OTHER BETTER WAYS TO MAKE MONEY THAN DUPING POOR INDIAN PEOPLE

Once you are trapped, they keep asking for money for some ''Legal Fee'', ''Bribes'' and so on and finally a person ends up loosing tens or hundreds of thousands of dollors and he never gets that millions of dollors since the deal was fake.

Same thing happens with Reliance India Mobile. They lure you with lots of good schemes and once you are trapped with agreement for 3 years, they keep asking for more and more money and you do not have any escape route but keep paying them.

Looks like I am getting more and more experience by each passing day.

Reliance has startred new kind of Rowdism for there bill collection. I keep receiving the calls for my bill payement even before I receive my bill. Someone rendomly calls and asks when I am going to pay the bill. When I tell them that I have not yet received the bill, they tell...''No Problem sir you will recieve you bill in next couple of day but tell me when are you going to pay the bill''. WOW waht a pro-active approach.

To pay the bill of January, I received the first call on 22nd of Feb 2004. When I told them that I will pay the bill only after receiving the bill, the person rudely asked my to give a date when I will pay the bill. That day I gor 3 calls and next day I got 2 calls to pay the bill (My all the previous bill are paid on time).

I received the bill on 24th of Feb and same day I got another call (the last date to pay the bill is 4th Mar 2004) and that person asked me that why I have not paid my bill....How can (and whould) I pay the bill the same day I receive it. That person told me that he will call next day and I have to give him the receipt number of the payment receipt.
