Few hours left for the glorious moments that we all have been awaiting for, the formal inauguration of the RELIANCE INFOCOMM TELECOMMUNICATIONS SERVICESby Shri Pramod Mahajan the Hon’ble Central Minister for telecommunications. With the flicker of switches the dream will be transformed into reality.

The vision as visualized between father & son (Sh Dhirubhai and Sh Mukesh Ambani)is on the verge of creating a revolution on the horizons of telecommunications in India, causing ripples by its down to earth affordable tariff structure in the otherwise highly priced & privileged world of telecommunications. The idea of 5 paise for per 15 seconds on the reliance network across the length and breath of the nation, and a host of other novel ideas and facilities spun & woven around the optic world ,erupts a volcano of happiness not only in the minds but in the hearts of the millions of Indians. The common Indian living in remote villages, a major population of which migrates to distant cities in search of livelihood, leaving behind families back home who constantly eagerly await not only money but messages of well-being. Fathers, mothers, wives, brothers, children, friends & relatives live always in apprehension, anxiety, &fear. Prayers on theirs lips for the safety , prosperity & well-being of their beloved ones. The “VIRAH” of the separated wives, the VATSALYA of parents, the profound love of kin & kith always creates a crescendo of emotions in the minds &hearts of the migrated population living in cities, who lives physically though afar but emotionally very near his dear ones. These immense feelings have been penned down the ages by poets and captured vividly on the celluloid screen. This chunk of population will be elated when at the affordable cost of 20 paise a minute their beloved ones separated from them by physical distances but emotionally inseparable shall be able to communicate often with them. Sweet sounds ringing like music into their ears, putting to rest and allaying all their restlessness and troubled emotions. Millions of Indians will bless Dhirubhai for this. It indeed has been a Bhagirathi task as king Sagar bought Ganga the nectar of life from the insurmountable lofty heights of the Himalayas and made it available to the commonest of the common Indian. So has Reliance bought millions of Indians within easy reach of one another at a most affordable cost. Hence I aptly name it as Sanchar Ganga. Not only shall we be a better communicating nation but business too will flourish in leaps and bound.

The idea of providing employment to one lakh new entrepreneurs will go a long way in eradicating poverty and bringing smiles to the teeming population. In this moment of joy, which I want to share with all my countrymen I salute your inspirational work which have even inspired an otherwise insipid commoner like me.
