Reliance Mobile, started in 2002 in Mumbai with high expectations.
I remember I was in Mumbai and people were queued outside retails to get free CDMA phones(LG) which were given initially. Lots of my friends went for it and surprisingly for first 3/4 months they did not receive any bills.
I took a connection in 2004, the phone was a CDMA phone(LG). The phone was good with small screen and best part the data was was very fast initially. Network was the best if you go anywhere in Mumbai, no call drops.
I had no issued around billing, as I always used to keep a check on data usage myself and I had choose free calls plan which was sufficient for me.
I had the same connection in Delhi, Hyderabad and in my current city when I migrated here. In my city I started having network problems and also data was very slow.
I called customer service very often and they would reset the software by sending links but it would not help. Even nodal officers of the area were of no help. I asked them to provide booster for network but it did not happen.
With poor response for them and call drop issues, I finally surrendered the connection. They tried to retain me but I had made up my mind to surrender it.
