As the title suggests, the dream of every Indian to own a mobile is gonna come true. Every Indian would cherish the moment when he is given the cheapest, yet, technologically advanced mobile service. It is available for him within his affordable levels. Wow, what a feeling when India Goes on Mobile. Every Indian must be proud of this achievement by a truly Indian Company.
The tariff structure is one thing that I was amazed by. Rs. 1.2 per 3 minutes, as per the prevailing local call rates now, is the cheapest of all the mobile services in India now. Now , from an Ordinary GSM Service Provider, a 3 minute call would cost Rs. 9 nearly, including all the airtime charges and the DoT charges. When a long distance call is made from the GSM Mobile, that is it, u have to shell out all your earnings. This foray of RIL into the communication market has brought confidence in the people that they are not exploited of the service provided to them, anymore.
Now, I have a GSM mobile, and I have planned to retire it when the Reliance is launching the service in my City.
