After writing this review (below), I was still facing huge problems, so finally I wrote to the CEO of Reliance Telecom last Saturday.


Would you believe it? All my problems were solved by Monday evening. The call centre executives even called in the evening on Monday to re-confirm if everything was ok.

But I wonder how many people would write, and why do I have to write to the CEO to address my problems?

I have a Reliance connection for the past 2 years. It was a corporate connection till September 19, after which it became a personal connection.Since October, I am facing a lot of problems regarding billing and quality of service.




  1. I have been given a credit limit of only Rs.750. Despite repeated requests, this is not being increased without payment ofsecurity deposit. I do not want to pay the security deposit as a matter of principle. I used a Hutch connection from 1996 to 2003, and my wife uses Airtel. My cousins use Idea in Pune. None of them have ever taken any security deposit from us, so I do not see any reason to pay it only to Reliance.2. Outgoings get barred at the drop of a hat.




On Dec 17, my outgoing was barred, and I got an sms asking me to pay Rs.700-odd. When I went to the Customer ServiceCentre, I was told that there is no amount outstanding. Andthe calls were barred by mistake. Within 30 minutes, outgoing resumed.This morning, I got two sms messages - one saying that my STD has beende-activated, and the other asking me to pay Rs.1, 030.3. I have repeatedly been facing call drops, especially in November and all over the city on bridges, and more so in the vicinity of Kamala Mills and Vashi Bridge. I have complained about this repeatedly without any response. In fact, the worst was in the last week on November when one of their executives(Chanchal - I think) refused to take my complaint saying that unless I give her one specific area where I face call drops, she would not noteit down.


I wrote to them on Dec 19 at their customer service e-mail ID, even saying that if they do not respond, I would be forced to change my service provider.I believe they have too many customers to care about.
