Well I do see a lot of reviews on Reliance... Not much of them favouring...
Whos got to take the blame.. People dont read the fine print.. Neither they are ready to understand what the real problem is...
I work for a MNC who booked 30 Reliance INDIA Mobile under DAPO Schemes.... The deal was pretty simple.. We wanted to cut down communication costs across offices across india.. STD calls across locations were up and real high...
The DAPO Scheme was so confusing at first that I had a real lot of trouble understanding whats going on... But eventually got hang of it... Its not that I do not utilise services of any other operator.. I do have a orange as well as BSNL. But believe me the best bills of mine come on my Reliance Hand fone itself...
The only reason is cause we use it mainly to talk across offices.. Not much of local phones either way... The bills are very simple to understand.. I get almost 400 mins of Free calls... that is if I talk reliance to reliance only...
Some reviews that I read spoke about Missed calls being charged eg.. (Absolute rubbish I say... lol) .. some people....
The main reason that I stick with reliance is I get access to Internet @ 112 KBPs... (i never checked it though) In my earlier days... when I used to travel by road to pune... the only thing I used to do is compose my mails and keep and wait to reach the hotel and hunt for a phone line to be set up to send them..
Additionally not to forget whether the ISP would get connected and the hefty surcharges that I pay to the hotel for the phone calls Well Reliance made me forget all that...
Not only I surf on the expressway at breakneck speeds so does my mails and other important stuff... Well its not cheap but believe me its worth...
I think Reliance is the only operator which gives me internet access across locations at the same charge... Like with Orange I could access the net only at Mumbai and Delhi... BSNL data connectivity was not avaliable.. But I guess recently they have come up with it... But eitherway the speeds on them are not much... that I could boast about it......
When someone speaks about cost.... I believe when a service is worth the cost... then its definately worth paying....
As far as service issues are concerned, I do have a problem with them... Bill delays... Bad response ... Ridiculous Answers... .. But dont you think here atleast you get a chance to complain... Try doing the same with MTNL (i do not know how they are now)... You wont even get a response... There were times when my line was down... I used to run after these guys like crazy to get my connection up... not to forget the greasing of palms I had to do to get it done... (plus the DIWALI PERKS)
Well thats it.. thats all I am gonna say...
The things I would not be happy for being with Reliance would be...
Bad exit plan... (but no option now.... isn't it)
No exchange schemes so that I could change it... (The Glorious SAMSUNG N191... ) looks like I am stuck with it forever..
Costly spares and accessories... (Spare battery - 750... Handsfree 550... Datacable / Connectivity kit - 1250)
