I have been using Reliance JioFi since September since Jio launched its offer. The first thing that was quite appreciable about it that within the second day of purchasing the JioFi it got activated just through my Aadhar Card. Initially, I was getting a true 4G speeds for almost around 2 months but after that almost 5-6 days I have to make a call to their customer care for the speed isssues. They told me that this problem will continued to be faced by you for 15-20 days as the Network Towers were under maintenance. I was really disappointed by it because the free offer was only for 3 months and almost for a month I couldn't use the free JIO services but then on 31st December, Jio released its HAPPY NEW YEAR offer which extended the offer for 3 more months. I continued with the JioFi but the speed were just above average around 4-5Mbps and that too not stable. I managed to continue with it till March 31. Overall it was a Paisa Vasool if you consider only Rs 2000 ( that to price of JioFi only) for 6 months of free Internet. After 31st March, when Jio launched its Summer Special offer for Rs 303 for 3 months + 1 month, keeping in mind that if company has now started charging for its services, they would improve their internet speeds, but I was totally outbusted with anger when from last 2 months I haven't get speed beyond 2 Mbps. I mean what the hell, just 4G means 2Mbps speed. And when I told this to customer care, you would be surprised to know that they told me 2 Mbps is enough sir, they gave me the reason of more traffic in your area. What a silly and stupid reason.! I mean even 3G gives more than 2Mbps. Really it seems JIO has now taking the revenge of 6 months free Internet Service from its customer.
I am really disappointed by this performance. The JioFi's range is also not that good plus it has not that efficiency to boost up the network signals or catch the signals efficiently. They are using Cheaper Chinese hardware for it. But its good thing is you can carry it in your pocket. The battery lasts for around 5-6 hours.
