Jio is came up last year with the welcome offer that only offers and activate to some of the high end handset. I was one of the luckiest. I have Samsung A7 2016 for which new sim can be activate. It totally took 3 days to get activate the sim and I started to use it. FOr the activation of sim you need to download the Jio app and create the promo code. Tht code help you to activate the sim. One promo code for per handset. Later on stage the Jio sim is available for each handset. Initially the speed was really mindbogglingly. The voice and video call were clear and loud. The speed of internet is still very high. None of the operators offer such a tremendous speed. The network coverage is across the India. I activated the sim by calling the customer support staff. They were very quick to answer. And sorted out all the problem which I initially faced. The speed of the internet is almost around 8.6mbps. One can easily download big file in no time. For activating the sim you need to install all the Jio app. If u deleted any of the app then Jio sim would stop working.
Now the again in new year the Jio come with happy new year offer which restricted the date per day to 1GB only. But as the customer base increased tremendously the speed bound to down. Now it is only around 3.5mbps but still more then any operators. But the Jio sim failed to impressed with the calling way. Calling facility is really pathetic. You need to call several times so that the call can be connected. The voice calling network too degenerated. As it is free till March 2017 so billing is not a issue. But still Jio officially launched the rate for Jio which seems to me cheaper then any other operators. I have been using it and for data package and uses I give them thumps up. The charges attract many of the customer. The Jio base for customer if 40% in India. Jio is definately gonna stay for long run and give the other operators sweating time.
