I had a very bitter experience at the Reliance Fresh outlet, Tambaram Sanitorium. I purchased some edible items along with a packet of their bread on 09.12.2007.
On the next day morning when I want to have it I took the bread , but found black insects on the bread inside the cover visibly wandering. As it was the morning office hours, I went to the stores in the night, and called for the manger. I was taken inside the shop and one young boy who may be in twenties appeared before me, whose name if I am correct is Samy , came before me. I showed the piece and told him whether the insects are visible. He agreed and utter a word sorry.
Nothing more than that. I too dont want to argue with him but expressed my opinion that Reliance Fresh should not indulge like this. I gave my telephone number and asked him to tell his seniors to contact me. But thats all. Nothing has happened. The next day I contacted local news paper editor and expressed the same. I also contacted the Consumer Court at Mylapure who told me to come in person. As that was not possible for me I left the case. However I wish enlighten the readers of this forum How a such major shop is cheating the public with expired perishables.
