The Reliance fresh near my residence located at Sayee Nagar, Virugambakkam, Chennai, used to be a decent place for shopping when they opened the store a couple of years ago. As mentioned by few of the reviewers, though the product variety, quality and service were top notch when they started, things have only gone down hill after just a few months.
Just to list a few of the problems
Old stock of vegetables and fruits.
Un-manned Billing counters resulting in long wait.
Items marked down due to promotion/sale, but actually not.
Wrong billing of items.
Staff unaware of products on sale
Disrespectful staff and very poor service
Just to mention the incident today morning, a note at the pickles stand said All varieties of Ruchi pickes are Rs.7 less. And I picked up a bottle of gongura pickles, walked up to the counter and billed it. The billing was done and the money paid(I had bought a few other items too). Then when I checked the bill(prior bad experience of poor billing), I came to find out that it was not marked down. When I asked about this, the response was'The mark down is not applicable for Gongura pickles alone'. When the sales person & the store incharge were told about the note stuck at the stand, they still would not budge. So I wanted to return the bottle to get a refund. They refused that too and said products once sold cannot be taken back. When asked why should I bear the brunt of their mistake, I was told, take it or leave and go, but you would not get a refund.
And the mark down note is still stuck at the pickles stand without any change, the way it was.
I have quite a few other bad experiences at the store. Will keep you guys updated.
