After many requests to mouthshut for adding this great product (previously it was BSES), they finally have done it. I really mean its great because of its pathetic service. This is not a review actually but my own experience with the so-called Reliance Energy.
My own experiences with Reliance has always been bad. Firstly of its another great service of Reliance India Mobile (I was overcharged in my bill so I had to terminate its service) and now Reliance Energy. But I cannot terminate Reliance Energy because its the only power-supply for residentials in Mumbai. For those people who dont know what Reliance Energy is...it's a Power-supply station. I think BSES was far more better than Reliance Energy in the service.
Now with my experiences: When Reliance Energy took over BSES it was the day when my problems started. There was fluctuation in power-supply in my house. It was summer when you On the fan and suddenly you see that the speed of the fan decreases and it becomes so slow that you can even count its rotations. Imagine, its about 7'0 clock in the evening you are doing an important presentation on your PC which is to be shown tomorrow in the morning in your office and the light seems to be dull and you think that tubelight will be end to this dullness, you on the tubelight and then to your surprise you see your PC is being restarted and your unsaved presentation is gone. It was because of fluctuation of power. You can imagine that but I cant because it has happened to me. Thats Reliance Energy.
And this experience actually urged me to write this review on mouthshut. Two days back my house was without power for more than 18 hours. Power failure went around 2 am in the morning. It was raining heavily outside so I thought that the power would be restored within 1 hour. And my thinking was wrong. In a city (Mumbai) where time is precious and most of the work is done through gadgets which require electricity cannot be done.
It was 8 am in the morning and I decided to call Reliance Energy Customer Helpline. But I forgot that it was Reliance's helpline which was not meant for people like us. I called them it was a computerised helpline and I did everything which the bot said to me to speak to the Reliance Energy Executive and then came the big one, the bot said that its customer executives were busy and you can wait for sometime. I held the call for about fifteen minutes but of no use.
The bot kept speaking that your call is very important to us so please hold on. But after wasting my time I hung up the phone. Again I called the helpline around 10 am but still their executives were busy. After sometime I got the chance to speak with the REL executive (not on helpline #) on another number. The executive told that your area does not come in our range so we cannot do anything but he gave me another number. I dialled it and the executive told me the same thing and gave another number. I foolishly dialled it and it was the other number which directed to me the helpline number which was not helpful at all.
I tried everything till evening but of no use. Finally some of the members of the society decided to go to their office and fetch a guy who can restore the power. And finally the guy came around 7 in the evening and restored it around 8 in the evening.
