I'm using the Reliance Broadband+ data card from last 2 months. The speed they provide now is unbeatable at the current scenario. EV-DO i.e, high speed connectivity is available in only select cities. Here in Bangalore, the connection speed is very very good.
About their customer service, not that great. They do answer your queries but they are very lazy and sometimes you get your satisfactory actions only after a couple of days. Their billing and usage website sucks. Its down most of the time and the UI is designed very badly. Sometimes the back-end doesn't respond at all. Moreover, the billing cycle updation time is very late so you never know if you can start your new month's cycle of usage.
Connectivity in other small cities and villages is slow. ie., 1X. But I'll give a thumbsup for this too since this techology is just upcoming in India.
They speed they claim is 3.1Mbps, but I have seen upto 2Mbps which is truly a great achievement by Reliance. Since I'm a Wireless Engineer, I know the limitations of the chipsets and techologies they use, thats why I would definitely appriciate their infrastructure.
Update(27 Aug 2009):
Here is one interesting thing, I've noticed. I was very happy with the connection till recently, it started switching to 1X most of the time. Though the speed is good(not great), I'm still wondering why it tends to switch the 1X even if I'm in the best reception area.
