Reliance broadband: Technical Fraud and Corruption. Review on Reliance Broadnet Broadband

Reliance broadnet has very inteliligently done a technical manipulation(i would say fraud) to fool customers. I have some knowledge on networking so I as able to figure it out.

1. For every 10 seconds they will disconnect you for 3 seconds.

   
   




2. Then reliance will very intelligently route your 3 seconds to another costomer.

   
   




3. Lets say they have 50 customers attached on hub/router/switch(which they call DLC). So if you accumulate these 50 customers then around 1/3 of the customers are illegal.

   
   




4. Basically Reliance charging from 50 customers but serving only 30 customer.

   
   




5. For a normal user who does browsing website, this thing wont make any difference.

   
   

The legal thing allowed in broadband is companies share bandwidth with customers. lets says you take 1 Mbps line. Then as per rules the companies(good onces) will share based on 1:4 or 1:2. This is completely legal. and its mentioned in the form you sign. eg. if you are on 1:4 sharing and lets say other 3 are not using internet then you will get full 1Mbps(approximately). But what reliance is doing is that out of your 1 minutes for 10-15 seconds you will not even have internet. They will disconnect you for 1/3 of your networking duratino. the durations are so small(1-3 seconds) that normally one wont realise if doing browsing or chatting.

But people who are doing VPN connections etc will see the reality.

This reliance history is full of fraud and corruption. I dont know why government dont take action. Well rightly said money and power rules in india.

Remain away from Reliance Broadband. Its fake, cheat on the name of broadband service.

Main drawbacks

1. DOWNLOAD not possible. You cannot download files. Because reliance disconnect you after 10 min of idle time inactivity. if you want your download to continue then you have to click one new link withing every 10 min.

2. VPN not possible. After every 10 min of idle time reliance disconnect you purposely. A bad news for most of small companies who connect using VPN

1. you cannot host ftp, webserver. same because of 10 minute rule in reliance. I dont understand what bandwith reliance want to save by disconnecting you. its pure baniyagiri.

   
   




2. if every ten minute you dont browse it will disconnect. sometimes requires modem restart. waste 5-10 minutes.

   
   

Also I want to share my experience. it was very painful

1. reliance people told me that the connection will take place in 10 days.  but it take more than 45 days. that too after calling them 50-60 times. They will take the initial deposit and after that vanish.

   
   




2. Speed is just pathetic. I took 1mbps. and its worst than my 512 kbps airtel line.

   
   




3. lot and lot of virus on the network.

   
   




4. Speed falls to 1 to 2 kbs in evening hours.

   
   




5. you will never get any kind of help from customer care.

   
   




6. if you want to discontinue the connection then also they wont disconnect and keep put montly bill one after another.(really shameful)

   
   




7. once my line got dissconnect. it took 5 days for it to restore

   
   

Its a most corrupt broadband in the market.

Go for airtel(best), tata indicom. even BSNL is far far better. bsnl though government but still you dont feel cheated.
