I have been browsing for reviews on various broadband connections in Bangalore for quite sometime. I saw very good reviews on BSNL, AIRTEL but the slots were not available in our street. I had to go forTATA WiMax.
TATA Wimax is very bad in reliability and connection speed. I have opted for 384kbps plan for Rs1200/- pm. They said I will be shown the internet speed at the time of installation. At that time it was showing some 180kbps and I was told that it will be improving very soon after network updation.
The problems started from the 1st day itself. Just 1 hour after installation the connection went down and did not come up for 3days. The customer service also very bad, every time they say a complaint has been registered and will be solved within 24hrs (Or) the techincal team is not there to assist. Like this they give many junk reasons.
If we have to go for static IP address they will charge extra for that also ...I think around 4k rupees. Even after taking the static IP the connection was not constant.. it went down very often. Fed up with all this we got rid of this TATA Wimax connection and opted for Reliance.
Even though reviews were not good about this connection, as there was no other option but to go for this. Its been more than a month and Idont have any probelms till today. I have taken 300kbps with landline phone for Rs. 850/pm. The speed is also very good. Its a very reliable connection and went down only once untill today. I dont know about Reliance WiMax connection but the LandLine internet connection is really good. They are delivering the speeds which they have promised. I see around 280 to 350kbps download and upload also. I did not have any problems with this connection untill today and hope there wont be anyin future.
