After shifting out of an educational institute where I had access to internet without any charge since my father was an employee there I was looking for a service provider which gave me value for money. I am a person who would do a lot of review before buying any product and so it began.


Unfortunately for me the place where I was staying gad only 2 providers, one was a local cable guy and other was reliance. I was disappointed that no other ISP was available in my society and thus this treacherous journey of getting internet began.


I decided not to go to local cable guy since he was charging 1000/- for registration and installation which I felt was unnecessary since he already had a established connection in my society, So I called up reliance and they gave me all sort of info regarding plans and wasted almost half an hour taking my details which really pissed me off since I was calling from my cell to a landline.


Then luckily the next day I got a pamphlet at my front door giving details about the plan which I had desired to take which was 75 kbps unlimited for 400/- a month + taxes. I called the guy and he came to my house to fill up the form and to collect the documents. no issues till now.he also told me there wont be any installation charges also so I did not have pay any initial amount so I was happy.


He said the date on which the installation team will come and will install the modem and the cable and they did come on the same day and installed it. I was also happy since they had concealed the cable in a plastic strips which was done neatly. Now when I log into reliance broadnet my current plan was showing as data transfer 600 kbps which I had not opted so I called the guy and he assured me there wont be any problem and my bill would be 400 + taxes.


I said ok and continued using it. well after about 20 days I got a bill in my mail box and guess what it gave me a HEART ATTACK since these mad people had charged me 8000 for 10 days of net and I was furious, angry and mad at reliance, I called my guy and he said he would look into it and call me. he did call me to tell me that there was a mistake at reliance end and they had mistyped a letter in my plan and that is why it happened.


I told him very clearly that I cannot and I am not going to pay this amount and he assured me that since it was their mistake I wont have to pay. the next few days they suspended that line since I did not pay the bill. I then spoke with a person with a more authority and he asked me to pay 400 + taxes and he would start the line in 2 hrs. I went and paid the amount and the line started only the next day a good 15 hrs after i was promised and guess what the plan was the same and it wasn't changed and I called the guy again and I think it is going to be like a vicious circle where they will keep chargin me incorrectly and I will have to keep fighting for the correct plan. If u want to know wat will happen next u will have to pm me since this is the story till now.....


All I can say is that reliance has been extremely unprofessional in theor dealings with me and I am disappointed. I cant do much mainly due to lack of options but to fight for my correct plan. :((      well here I am again..i thought of completing the review..after calling and speaking with a local guy of reliance they told me that the request for changing my plan to the original plan it took them 3 complete days to change the plan to flat fee of 75kbps which was my original plan..


The surfing speed is good but the download speed is pathetic..it hovers any where between 5kbps to 10 kbps which is bad considering I subscribed for 75 kbps..overall the whole experience was extremely bad.. if given a choice I wont go for reliance but since there is no other ISP in my area I have to bear the brunt of reliances slow connection, bad cust service and overall apathetic attitude towards their consumer..


The credibility of reliance has taken a big beating..i hope to improve their services they read the reviews here and take some measure...i am sure 1 review would represent atleast 1000 consumers and reliance should act accordingly...reliance should adopt the policy of "think gloabl and act local" if they want to survive in this sector...adios
