Never ever go for Reliance broadband connection

I am from Delhi and an unfortunate customer of Reliance Broadband and Landline services. They have a big lot of bad technicians, worse services & worst customer care executives.


I have applied for this connection start of May'08. The guys, who came to do the wiring, didn't even tell us that the phone would need a power connection. Then, another set of technicians came to install the phone & told us that wiring is wrong & power connection is required for this. (What the hell? Why didn’t those previous technicians tell us this! They were probably not even aware themselves.)


Anyway, we logged a complaint on 16th May'08 for repositioning of the phone. which didn't get resolved for 3 weeks. Nobody from reliance turned up in spite of repeated reminders. Finally, we did it ourselves. To our dismay, phone was not working. It said "Line in use".


We logged another complaintto correct the line & came to know that previous complain has been closed(WHY? nobody even checked with us). This complaint was again kept open for a week or so & in spite of repeated reminders nobody turned up again. We called up to check the status of our complaint, so again we came to know that this complaint has also been closed.(Just to tell you again nobody came to correct the phone & nobody checked with us before closing the complaint.)


So, I logged another complain & no resolution till mid June(these are not vague dates, we actually had to keep a log to give reference to the customer care execs). We were really tired of following it up with customer care. So, we refused to pay the monthly rental(not to be confused with bill) for this dead phone, this person from customer care started calling up daily to check that whether someone has solved the problem(Mind you! he didn't check with his technicians) and everyday we used to tell him that nobody has come to check the phone.


We were so disappointed with the services of organization with such a reputation across the globe that we wrote a mail to reliance CMO. Thankfully, a prompt action from the Reliance Management and phone started working. but only for 15 days.


Then finally(I am amazed why didn’t we do this earlier?), we asked them to disconnect the line. I won’t repeat the whole story again of calling customer care again & again. They did disconnect it but we are still receiving the bills! J. It’s a year of torture from reliance.


I would recommend to never ever go for this broadband connection!
