I don't know the name of the music director, that is the sad part of this review. But when I first heard the track rehna hai tere dil mein, I was mesmerized to see Diya Mirza on screen. When I got my senses back and was able to figure out the music I thought it was A R Rahman, but came to know later it wasnt.
The title track and its three versions were simply out standing. I came to know that the music director doesn't even understatnds hindi.
The next songs were great. Dil ko is a masterpiece, couldn't stop listenting to such keh raha hai deewana. The song mumbaiya was not to the mark with comparisions to all the songs but I think it has the local feel. The instrumentation is great as A R Rahman. He is very much influenced by A R Rahma. All the other songs also had a mass appeal with the sense that it will last for ever.
