I base this review after a good amount of time as a tenant in 2 Regus Hyderabad Centres(Hi-Tech City and Begumpet). My company had decent space rented out in their centres for close to 3 years. Not keen on starting our company from any apartments or non commercial space we opted for Regus as they claimed to be a market leader bringing in MNC like ability in their operations and interactions. I am afraid to say their quality is no better than the routine local operators.

Regus is extremely pricy for what they offer to the tenants.  There is nothing MNC ability and competance they offer. Everything is charged including things we did not ask for and agree. In my 36 months of being there I have had to fight every time for the invoice corrections. Their system is very complicated and made to not get clarity on what is being charged for. If not for the nice bunch of employees they have in Regus I would have sued them long back. They are the only solace in this monopolistic approach of Regus. Every person I have dealt with was exemplary. That goes without any doubt.

During my stay I have encountered "fresh gush of stinking bathroom stink" into my office for many days, employees leaving me in lurch for this reason, constant AC issues during extreme summers, huge office ceiling falling full on our workstations, every day parking issues despite being charged, lack of clarity in their charges, extremely exorbitant snack pricing, despicable internet bandwidth speeds, fight for conference rooms, lack of lounge facilities for our guests, Telecom call quality issues(signal and etc), exorbitant pricing of many services etc.

I opted for Regus only because of their global presence and ability that I thought they will bring in and let me concentrate on my core software function. However I was dismayed and inspite of changing 2 office with them I found issues persist and they are all the same places.

We are on the path to sue them after moving out of Regus. I now have a plush office in a IT centre of repute with no Regus like issues to handle. I am suing Regus for wrong charges and harassment on security deposit. I am contenting that I should not pay for charges they incur for any changes they make to their office before I move in including the changes they make to bring me in as tenants. They insist that they will pass this as a parting gift to me for 3 long years I stayed there as tenants. This is extremely unprofessional however much they insist of me having signed the agreement that has this hidden aspect in the ToC. You must ensure you read the ToC and strike this clause out.

I would advise and caution all prospects considering Regus to be careful and get full clarity on the charges, costs and insist them to write on paper that they will provide parking, ensure you will be offered 100% piece of mind to conduct your business and no hold onto your security deposit for any reason and return it back in time. This is important as they refuse to cooperate on this aspect. I would suggest adjusting your rents from your deposit well before your term ends to ensure your interests are secured in terms of your deposit.

Still better you can check other options like iKea, Vatika, ServCorp, WorkSpot, THub, Rent-a-Desk, CoWorkZone and many other large IT complexes that are many times better than Regus. I did not have many options when I started but these days for a lot lesser pricing you have variety to choose. I strongly recommend to not go for Regus. My entire experience has not been that great with them and I am not a unreasonable person to make this statement.

If you need more details feel free to contact me for a one on one to learn about why Regus is not a good choice.
