Location : 5/5

Regal is located in Bombay near the Gateway of India in an area which boasts of other great landmarks of Bombay like the Taj hotel, the museum, the Radio club, the Additional Commissioner's office, Lion Gate of the Naval Dockyard... the location of the theater is, as the name suggests, truly Regal !!
Approachability : 4/5

The theatre can be reached by taking a bus or a cab from VT if you are travelling on Central line or Harbour line. It is almost a walkable distance from Churchgate, if you are travelling on the Western line. I usually go to the theatre by bus and always walk back to VT simply because it is a great time to chat with your friends and discuss out the movie en-route !! #(Please see the comments section) You can also checkout what the peddlers on DN Road have to offer as you could get a very good bargain there. If you have the time, you can go for a stroll at Gateway of India. If you are a tourist to Bombay, then this stroll is very much recommended.
Seats : 4/5

The seats in Regal are quite comfortable. They are not as cushiony as the new multiplexes that have come up, but give you decent comfort that will help in enduring an english movie atleast. The leg room is luxuriously ample !! You can actually traverse to your seat without trampling on the toes of other movie goers.
Sound : 3.5/5
_________________________
The sound system of the theater is supplied by Pulz. The sound is decent and you can hear all the dialogues but the quality of sound is not very rich. At the same time it is not very bad either !! But you need to focus to catch the difficult sounding words. It is not as good as the multiplexes, but then comparing Regal with a multiplex would not be fair. However, it would be more than fair to compare it with Sterling or with Eros. And Regal comes 2nd along with Eros. This is why this theatre was always my second preference after Sterling as the action flicks that I enjoy watching on the big screen were always enjoyed better at Sterling because of its superior sound quality.
Space : 5/5
_________________________
Unlike the new multiplexes which try and utilise all available space (you should see the G7 complex at Bandra!!), Regal is lavish in its interiors. It has a single staircase that is used both for entry and exit purposes. The corridor is quite wide and easily handles the flow of people even at full capacity.
Verdict : 4/5

This theatre will always be an also ran for me after Sterling because of its approachability from the commuting lifelines of the city, the railways !! Also, most of the big movies that are released are showed at Sterling and the movies shown in Regal are usually also-rans.
Irrespective of all these facts, This theatre is a landmark in the great city of Bombay !! And Yes, I do recommend it to everyone !!
