These shoes are at best a con job and at worst a rip off. Beneath the sturdy looks are actually the most delicate innards. A cardboard inner sole (that's right cardboard)gives way within weeks of buying the shoes and you are left with no option but to bang your head on the wall and rue the fact that you bought them in the first place. Iam gonna ask for a refund.
The brand was launched with a lot of hype and advertizing lots of people must have gotten seduced by the slick presentation but the product to say the least is disappointing. If the company had spent a fraction of the advertizing money on ensuring the product's quality they would have continued to sell the shoes for a long time.
I know that there would be some nitpickers and Red Tape fans who shall point out stupid inconsequential things like 'Are you sure you got the real stuff?' Well to such brilliant minds I would only say that if I'd not confirmed the product to be genuine I wouldn't have written this review. Let me add a couple of points for posterity sake
the shoe has become uncomfortable as the front half of inner sole has collapsed.
On enquiring with the showroom I was told the problem is there with 'some' designs. And that I should get the inner sole replaced. (why should I pay the kind of money I did if this is what its gonna come to?)
there are better products available in the market so why bother with buying Red Tape?
