I am cautioning about reader's digest new subscription; I did that in the last year for thatsin, they sent me some useless promotional material; with great entho, I ordered few books; where as they never sent me the ordered books but they sent me other unsold books at theiur end whcih I returned them. they acknowledged the return of the book but still they are sending me threatening letters as if I were defaulter. Beware, they tap you with one thing but you may land up with some thing else in their net.
I am pastin here my letter written to Fiannce Director for your use.
You both have wrongly mentioned that there is overdue from my end. Please refer my previous mails addressed to M. Yee in which I have clearly mentioned all the activities in sequence and clarified that I do not need to pay any amount to Reader’s Digest.
Let me mention very clearly, pl do not bother me for an amount of Rs 199/- but in principle, if you look at my credit record, I am never a defaulter but in principle I am really disguised with Reader’s Digest.
Let me quickly remind you of your own confirmations to me.
1) I have returned Select Editions by Gati Couriers– refer your confirmation mail regarding this(attached copy), spending about 225/- rupees where as product cost is only 199/-2) You have sent me a refund for amount 895/- Ch Dated 16/10/2006, for no reason; I never paid any amount to RD but still I received a refund cheque. Think how bad is your invoicing process is?….still to my honest, I never en-cashed it as you wrongly sent me that cheque.(attached copy of the covering letter as well as copy of cheque).3) Later I received another parcel from Reader’s digest which I have rejected you acknowledged the same; proof attached.4) I also got the confirmation letter saying all of my outstanding orders were cancelled(proof attached) after I sent several mails to reader’s digest with lot of frustration…5) Several times I called at the hotline and executive told me repeatedly to ignore the bills; but you never stopped harassing me by sending reminder after reminder.
I hope I have clarified enough in this regard. Still if you have any query please call me at 998 5555 799. Just think a while, I could spend more that 400/- towards returning the books and other courier charges, do you think that I am not paying towards the book Rs 199/- any common sense should make you to understand the fundamentals of economics. Why should I be a defaulter while I am spending more than what I need to…pay.? Please call me in case you feel I need to pay any overdue amount, in m y opinion there is nothing overdue from my e nd. I hope you will correct your process of invoicing system to eliminate such blunders and help good customers of Reader’s Digest like me.
Please stop harassing your customers like this.
