The Quality which Ray-Ban once Boasted is now gone with the wind. This learning is not from my personal experience but also by googling to find a similar view. Now Ray-Ban is just a piece of sub standard glasses, Metals and Plastics. I sincerely believe that instead of spending a fortune on these Crap, its better to go with unbranded products at one tenth of Ray-Bans price which are far better in quality and lasts at-least one to two years.
A few months back I purchased a Ray-Ban Glass model Rb3025(Aviator Day and Night Glass) from
Lens and Frames, Thrissur branch. It was one of my priced procession, I took great care to it. After 6 months of seldom use the Sun glass has started to shown its poor quality which I mentioned earlier. The metal frame has begun corroding. The condition of the Sunglass is very pathetic with green lining(Corroding) towards the ends of the frame.
I took it to Lens and Frames the shop from which I purchased this Crap, to ask them what they can do in this regard, they say that its my mistake of not using the Sunglass properly which has created all the problem. They concluded that its my sweating(Perspiration) which is causing this corrosion and they
can't do any thing in this regard. They tried removing the corroded areas which turned the Gold frame to a Silver Frame at certain places. I was astonished to find that my hard earned Money around Rs.4150/- is a piece of Junk now. Warranty is not covered for these damages.
Beware Indians who are all reading this content, that India is not in the European Continent, its for sure sweating(Perspiration) will be there for each and every Indian, its a big waste to spend big amounts in these branded products which lasts only for Six to Seven months at the max.
For the first time my Understanding that Brand Power and High price can fetch you the best product has changed at-least in the case of Ray-Ban.
The incident which made me to buy Ray-ban product is a very interesting one. One of my friend told me that the Sunglass which he wears is the one which his father got as a Marriage gift some 30 years ago. Mind boggling right that made me to do this blunder.
Now a days the quality is not there just the Brand name, be wise, stay away from it unless you can buy a new one on Yearly basis.
This is my personal case, some of you will be happy with this product, this is not meant
to offend them.
