Rating A Review? Reading It First Is Highly Recom

In order to truly rate a review here at mouth shut, you would need to actually read the review!  At least that is the way it should be.  I have seen a lot of HR on reviews that I felt were worthy of only an R or even a SR.  I hardly ever give a NR and only then because the review was not helpful to me in any way, shape or from or was copied from another person's work.

As for my rating skills and me.  I read the review, even the longs ones.  I look for information that will be helpful to me in some kind of way.  The review doesn't have to be long to get a HR from me; in fact, I have rated some shorter reviews HR because they were helpful. But they do have to have information that I find to be helpful to me or to my family.  This is always very important!

I enjoy reading movie reviews and I enjoy reading reviews about other places.  I always like to read about new make up, hair care, and girlie stuff and I try to read and rate all that I can come across.  I also enjoy reading reviews about credit cards, books, and various other products.  Actually I enjoy reading all the reviews!

Sometimes though I come across a review that was written very poorly and I will not even rate it!  It's not worth the effort to click a rating choice and I actually wish I had never even clicked on the review to start with. You know the one’s, they have la, la, la, la, la, etc in them.  Someone just wasting the sites time and the readers as well.

I really can't stand it when only one person has HR a review and all others have R or SR the same review.  Don't HR a review just to score brownie points.  This is a no no in the books.  And it doesn’t really get you anywhere, nor does it help the writer.  Think about it!

Leave comments from time to time and let the person know how you feel about the review you have read.  This should always be encouraging to the writer.  And be honest, if you liked the review say so, if you didn't, then say so, but do so in a polite way.  Don't try to set out to hurt the writer.  Doing this can cause for revenge rating!

And lets talk about revenge rating.  This should never happen, but there are always going to be people out there who do revenge rate.  If the review was really good then be honest with you and the writer and rate it so.  Just because that writer may have not given you a HR or R doesn't mean you have the right to revenge rate.  Would you want that to happen to you?  I don't think so.

So when you read, rate accordingly.  And by all means if you truly found the review HR then rate it as such.  But if you found the review to be something else, then, rate it as much.  Like I already stated, don’t HR a review just to score brownie points, this is not helpful at all.

Most of us work hard on writing our reviews.  We want them to be helpful to those reading them.  And sometimes we don’t care what we write.  Sometimes we write controversial reviews that will cause a lot of response and sometimes we write very dumb reviews.  But whatever I write I want you to be honest, open and friendly.  I do the same for your work when I read it.

Respect my work and I will respect your work.  In fact, you will find that I respect all writers’ reviews(except for the la, la, la reviews, I don’t have much respect for those types at all).  If I can tell that you gave your review your very best effort then I certainly will respect it and rate accordingly to how I feel.

Life is to short to get into arguments with people over written reviews.  Keep and open mind when reading and rating and remember that your work will be read too!

God Bless!
