.. Sex Sex Sex ... . Review on Rating Reviews on MouthShut

DISCLAIMER: This review has got nothing to do with Rating Reviews.. And for the non sensical title that was in order to make more and more people to read my review..

This is no rocket science,, Just a thought a thought provoking…So please bear with me and read the full review ..

I Joined MS on the 14th of December.. As I got a hang of this place the first thing that was on my mind was to become a Star Writer.. I guess there’s nothing wrong with hoping to become a SW coz everyone wants recognition.. Lets face it all of us want our faces flashing in the home page in a medium as popular as MS.. Don’t we?

So what went wrong during the past few days ? I sat down and thought that if I become a SW what next ? Is that the end ? Is becoming a SW the end of the road at MS..

So what is this SW thing all about.. Doesn’t it give a saturation point in the longer run..

There is a theory behind this.. I will call it the ‘Populous Theory’

First when you become a star writer it is obvious that you’re popular here in this place called MS.. What SW does is that it further gives you a wider audience..Camon you’re face is splashing 24x7 in the site’s home page.. You’re reviews are gonna be rated like crazy..Well that’s well and good..

What’s not so good is the aftermath.. After becoming popular what’s gonna follow is that “Great Review.. Keep Writing” stuff..

At first its good but then doesn’t that monotonous feeling of getting rated and the same damn comments start creeping in .. Who’s responsible for this ? We or them ?

I’ve learned it the hard way .. But I know a hard fact of MS .. The more sweeter the comments the more popularity.. Its those sweet comments you’re putting is what’s getting you readers.. But at the end of it all what am I getting folks? Those same old great review comments ..

Why to act as a Hypocrite.. Even I’ve fallen pray to those “Great Review Keep Writing”stuff.. But then all of a sudden ive realized that its not working out .. Im tired.. I want more constructive comments and not just ratings.. I want more discussions yaar. And not merely this comment thing..

I want more good stuff to read here at MS… not taking names but the truth is that the saturation point for most of the great writers here at MS has come..

Those few good writers have gone.. The reason is not known! Maybe coz MS has become what most of them feared it would be.. A place for sugar coating and nothing else..

Agreed that those good writers do come and write once in a while.. But where are the others.. ? |Are they leaving Ms Coz of us? They came , they took MS in their arms but their leaving MS is still unknown ..

Any one of the star writers here will agree with me that there is a certain point at your stay here at MS when that feeling of “Been There.. Done That” has come in ..

Coming to the new writers here.. How many of us are actually reading their stuff’s ?

A man can’t go on writing stuffs and stuffs without any response what so ever ..

The trend is simple .. you write on hot topics and you get the readership..

There’s just three ways to succeed here at MS..

1. Write on a newly released movie or music release.

   
   




2. You got be a Star Writer right from the moment you’re in your diapers (which is technically not possible)

   
   




3. You gotta give those so called sweet comments and get your viewership! Simple .

   
   

But the problem lies in our READING itself .. Most of us hardly care to read the whole thing .. Just because that person had given a comment on my review thus I should also comment on his review. That’s a damn obligation! Whole story ends here !

This leads to your group of dedicated readers vice versa.. Every time there is review by Prassidha , Tenny , or Mukul I go and read them .. Yes I agree I’m at fault .. But this way the others wont be read .. Hence were losing potential.. who knows that the next Psyxx or the next Premjit is still writing but we don’t know who he is ? Agreed that true talent cannot be hidden for long but lets face it we only care to RRC reviews of writers who RRC our reviews.. This give and take will go on and on ..

One fine day I will get the feeling . I’m getting 60 comments every review I write .. same old stuff .. What am I getting .. Its this feeling which shall make me leave MS..

I know Ms has got its own bunch of loyal writers.. But here I’m talking about the majority ,,
