Las Vegas is full of people itching to gamble, what profit can a casino give us, when it depends on us to pay its Bills and wages of employees. The profit of Boss depends on the money we loose. One such Boss is Donald Sinclair(John Cleese) He has devised engaging ways to snare big gamblers to his Casino and his methods.

HOW IS COMEDY MADE UP

Comedy requires greater genius than normal intense story film making. Comedy does not have rules, its spontaneous and hence difficult to tap. 2 Con brothers has a plan to make money by tripping on empty glass and squeeze money out of management. Seth Green (Duane Cody) and Vince Vieluf (Blaine Cody) we understand their plot, is it funny if the brothers execute the plan. But no there is another woman trips on the glass and Gloria Allred is just around the corner and doing the very same thing planned by the brothers, that’s a foolproof comedy scene. It brings laughs by proxy. Seth Green is dangling from a hot air balloon and crashing into the sides of COWS and few scenes later one of the cow is trapped by the loose rope and gets lifted up in the air with the balloon. The brothers want to pull down the airport radar antenna, by tying it to their jeep and the radar pulls them both up instead of them pulling it down.

THE STORY OF THIS FILM

6 gamblers play the slot machine and get a gold coin, they are Whoopi Goldberg (Vera Baker (1) with her daughter Lanei Chapman (Merrill Jennings) Breckin Meyer (Nick Schaffer(2) a clean lawyer with dreams to become Attorney-General, who avoids breaking a law like leprosy his close friend is peeved with him, he incites him to do something illegal, like stealing a newspaper. Cuba Gooding Jr (Owen Templeton(3) avoids being recognized, because he is infamous match referee whose call caused a match loss. Jon Lovitz (Randy Pear(4) promised his wife he will not gamble and he has to hide his winning from the wife and 2 kids. (5)Seth Green and his brother. (6)Rowan Atkinson (Enrico Pollini) a laid back Italian drifter, Who wants to learn better English.

The gold coin is to select 6 people who get a key to the locker on Silver City Railway Station in New Mexico. The keys has radio device fixed in it to track the player movements by the Casino owner Mr.Donald Sinclair, he lures the 6 to ride to the locker the prize is 2 million CASH waiting in the box. Donald Sinclair displays the 6 to other gamblers in his casino and everyone is betting big and small money as he has said to all, I have reduced the odds of winning from 1 in a Million to 1 in 6, his Casino is becoming richer by the minutes, he is getting more money than he is giving away to one of the 6 players.

GENERAL MAKEUP ABILITY OF COMEDY WRITERS.

The 6 players have loads of situations and the development of situations are quiet silly but the consistency in each players events are kept up till the end. The brothers who are conmen are being conned by duplicate key maker and things creep upon them all the time in the film, until a very beautiful girl (Tristin Leffler) who does not have a name in the film, shows her heart to the younger brother Vince Vieluf he

falls in love with her and her pierced heart. Cuba Gooding Jr avoids being recognized all the time, but he is recognized by a very angry taxi driver(Paul Rodriguez). All this is developed very artistically and the timings of the scene is kept trim to extract the maximum laugh power.

The blending of the laughs with the story and the physical camera works is so smooth, we hardly notice there are no sudden jerks anywhere, you have in this film all types of comedies, the physical, the situational, the dialogues, the out of the world COW dangling on a hot air balloon and enemies squirting milk on each other in their fights are silly all right and timed beautifully to make you laugh.

ROWAN ATKINSON and Jon Lovitz

Jon Lovitz (Randy Pear) has a meaty role, he seems to be the main man of this movie, he is hiding the truth from the start to the end, he hides truth from the museum Tour Guide, he is hiding the truth from the biker woman, his situations are very funny and his will to gamble at all cost seems to remind us, how really like a rat we are tuned into the race of making money. Me thinks the Word War II Veterans meet was quiet funny and very creative.

Rowan Atkinson(Enrico Pollini) let me tell you this actor is a phenomenon in physical comedy, just let anyone else copy what he does on screen and see if they can bring any laugh. Rowan Atkinson throwing away the ball for the dog to chase will leave you in splits, this is one actor who is a guarantee of laughter, no matter what he is saying and doing, his reputation is not made just like that, you can watch him in this film in a short role but, it is the binding bits into a whole together.

Wayne Knight (Zack Mallozzi) must be mentioned on a seperate line he did the role of a Human organs transporter and partner in the journey to Silver City with Rowan Atkinson. His role is very good and he acted very well indeed.

I enjoyed Amy Smart (Tracy Faucet) catching the boyfriend with another girl and the exchange she has with Nick Schaffer, her metamorphosis from a cute little pilot to the wrath of devil is one unforeseen situation nobody would have guessed, after all she makes Nick steal the petrol from the tank of a police patrol car, that is how the bad influence of cute girls are strong on nice guys.

Yo!! this film is a study in the art of making comedies.
