Sawai Madhopur is on the way to Jaipur, so any train which goes to Jaipur passes through Sawai Madhopur.
Ranthambhor is a national Park is situated 15 Km from Sawai Madhdopur and it gets name from the Ranrhambhor fort which come under the boundaries of National Park. Ranthambhor is considered one of the best parks in the country to see and observe the tiger. It is the reason I made the plan to visit the national park with my family. The park is open from October to June and November to March are best months for visiting Ranthambhor. The area covered by this park is approx 400 km. There are three ponds in the national park Malik Pond, Rajbag Pond and Padam pond. Flame of forest, Aam Beri and Dhok tree covers the entire forest of national park. The Tiger is the biggest attraction of the park. Leopard, Jackal, Jungle Cat, Fox, Wild dogs, Blue bull, Sambhar, Chinkara etc. are the other attraction of the national park. There are more than 250 varieties of the birds can be seen in the park. During winter months migratory birds like graylag goose and pintails are also seen along with regular birds like parakeets, doves, owls and eagle. Sawai Man Singh sanctuary and Kaila Devi Sanctuary have been included in this national park.
Hotels like Tiger Safari Park, Tiger Den, Ranthambhor Forest Resort and Sanctuary Resort are available to stay comfortably within the range of Rs.1500 to Rs.1800 per day . Please confirm the check out time because very few hotel permit the 24 hour check out time otherwise most of the hotels follow check time at 12 in the noon, so make your program accordingly. Jungle Safari Jeeps are available to see park. I paid 1500 per person for the maruti Zpsy to enjoy the park with my family. Almost all types of food is available but the local people prefer more chili so be careful while ordering food make clarity regarding red chili.
It is one the best national park I visited and advise everyone to visit if you want to receive energy from the nature and wanted to live between lovable wild animals. My humble request to all that please try to use polethene and plastic in the park as it its hazardous to animals.
