Ranthambore Fort is situated in the midst of Ranthambore National forest and is well maintained. The fort holds both historic importance and as well as religious importance. The fort was non conquered by any king in the past due to its toughest route and well planned structure.
To reach to the top of fort one need to go around 2.5 km walk. For elderly it is quite tough but I booked a plaki for my mother which cost me 1600/- bucks. We also booked guide for 400/- which is okay when we had group of 10.
The guide explained well the route and different structure. Once we reached the top we went to Ranthambore Ganesh temple which is quite famous. It is considered to be house of Lord Ganesh with his wife Riddhi and Siddhi and their sons Subh and Labh. It is beleived to be one of the sacred place by hindus and as such the first invitation of any marraige directly goes to him via post.A must place to be visited. Dont miss it. Do carry cameras on way as you might click some good snaps.
