Story

A story set in the north where a bunch of happy go lucky guys of Delhi University live their lives and are not willing to budge to anything that the outer world wants them and are happy with what they are. A foreign documentary maker comes to India to make a short film on Bhagat Singh and other revolutionaries and is hunting for people who would like to work. She sees a spark in this bunch and decides to cast them. After their initial arguments these guys get ready to play their parts and there is a complete metamorphosis of sorts and what happens is the rest of the story. Well, all of them perish in the end.

I was just going through the script and I must say that the script just rocks and was completely mesmerized by it and thought would write an exclusive preview about the whole movie before it gets released and here I am doing so.

One can only pray that this script is converted aptly into a rocking movie and my ten pointer on why one should go for the movie is as mentioned below:

  1. Aamir Khan first release after the box office debacle “The Rising” which grossed a mere 30 odd crores while it was slated to fetch much more with its huge hype and publicity.

  2. Going by the just released music album, which has some soulful tracks by none other than A R Rahman, this movie surely looks set to rock the nation with its tunes.

  3. With a cast with the likes of Aamir, soha , Kiron Kher, Om Puri, Anupam Kher can we ask for more?

4.Since I have read the script (one of my friends is a close friend of Om Prakash Mehra) and I vouch for this movie.

5.For the first time the viewer gets to know the lyrics penned down by ad man Prasoon Joshi and the song “ Khoon Chala just grows on you.

6.Seeing the trailers, one gets to feel a difference in this movie and Aamir Khan looks younger than ever and feel the good factor would surely get the crowds rushing into the theatres to watch this flick.

7.The director has carefully chosen his locales and not moved away from the Delhi locations and in Amritsar and for a change the viewer would get to see our country’s capital in a new light, which is very refreshing.

8.The story should really appear to the masses and I seriously feel that we have forgotten our roots living in this modern India.

9.The best part of the movie is that the situation that prevailed in India during the 1930’s and the present India of 2005 run parallel and it should be a treat to the viewer ( if shot well!).

10.Now for some gossipy stuff- Kunal does a full monty in this movie and I think it is motivating enough for all the young girls who drool over the six feet plus hunk.

Final Verdict

The movie provides a deep insight into the problems that we face in our country

and it is high time that such movies are given their due appreciation not just by

the critics but also by the audience by coming to the theatres and watching it...........
