REHMAN KAR REHAM !!!!!!!!. Review on Rang De Basanti Songs

Hey ppl

Recently this movie came into real trouble and its release got delayed in politics (no need to say more about it !!!!!!!! but IAF whats going on !!!!!!) So I decided to scribble something on its mosic.First of all its REHMAN so shall I say more or is there any need to say more ???????? But I will say more for reasons that rehman has as always come up with a different combination as always and music in this case has been more of a various artist performance.

If u take a look in Rehman's past work like swades ,laagan and more u will find that this veteran musician,composer ,singer's one man army has done some really good patriotic compositions and he doesnt dissapoint in ''RANGDE BASANTI'' the upcoming flick.As far as I know its about youngsters getting to know abt indias glorious past,awakening of a generation thats what the title punch line says.So the music consists of 10 tracks a mixture of various variety of music as follows

1.IK ONKAR--we all as indians start with gods name same here ik onkar stands translated for one omkar which states that there is one god omkar.Its a short quoting from guru granth sahib if I am not wrong.Takes u to a new ambience really sacred and spiritual ,melodious and says that god says I am the only truth was, am and will be for ever

2.KHALBALI--its a arabic composition really makes u twist on a superb belly dance style.gr8 experimental music (rehman hai yaar !!! common)aerabic party song thats what I can say in a line.Watch out for movie trailors its shown amir and other guys really going nutts in this track !!

3.KHOON CHALA--remember swades ''yeh jo des hai mera'' well on similair grounds the track sounds familair that has been rehmans setback.His compositions are somewhat repeated only the words change.The track is a bit misplaced as it come after khalbali a really hapening track where as this one is a bit slowish and sluggish.!!!

4.LALKAR--vocals by amir really sounds serous,a bit freaky and scary too but the track is abt ppl willing to give their blood ''khoon'' for the battle independence.The song is ''sarfaroshi ki tammana'' but I guess its the real one not what we heard in bhagat singh flick.Nice but again a bit slowish !!!

5.LUKA CHUPPI---my favourite numero uno.The track comes from the queen lataji herself in her 80's and still sounds wonderful what can I say abt this track but its full of enthusiasm and is in form of a conversation between a mother and son .Mother says enough of hide and seek come back home son its dusk and son refuses saying I want to be free and explore my world mother .The music holds on a classical touch . Fabulous composition ,music,lyrics just have an ear for this one ppl.Full marks !!!!!!! this one is gonna go big trust me

6.PATSHALA(BE A REBAL)--this is my next fav its a wacky composition which says abt school and its fun part from eyes of those ppl who are in a mood of partying.Really full of enthusiasm learning has never been so much fun ......yet !!!

7.PATSHALA--this is the original track the above is remixed one .But except for some minor changes both tracks are same.This one has more clearly audible https://lyrics.Music of both is rocking but this one has some different https://lyrics.Too much fun !!!!!This one runs in my mind as a tape bcs of its lyrics and I being a student appeals me most.

8.RANGDE BASANTI--ok I believe this was the first track that trailors were launched with.The title track daler mehendi make a difference with his voice and punjabi music as always rocking.Rehman again but punjabi this time tell u this man is a genious ppl !!!!!!! The song is celebration in form of colours it says colour me an everything else with the colour of freedom....

''ding ding ding ding''

this is funny tickling part of the song !!!!!!!!! my favourite numero trio (sorry bit carried off I mean number three !!!!)This one is also gonna rock the charts for some time from the sounds of it............

9.ROBAROO--tapori track must be on amir !!!!!!!!!.....lyrics are not much deep just like someone is saying words which are rhymed.A bit dissapointing but hey all tracks cannot be rocking ideally rt ?...the track also resembles ''angana'' from the flick YUVA thats what I think.

10.TU BIN BATAYE--a slowish track.Frankly I thought it was crap !!!!!! just to finish the ten figure I gues its been added.The song has got no credit in any sense taking into consideration other hits from this collection .But hey who is perfect rt ??

SECRETE !!!!!!

Wanna know a secrete then do this first get the songs then a music system and most important a headphone !!!!!!!! trust me it sounds better on headphones as the music is worth listening individually (call me mean,selfish but its worth it).I tried it this way using headphones .....playing car racing games and even though I didn't win the experence was awsome..

The singers are versatile some I dont even know but when it comes together a gr8 combo.Its a good thing to hear something different not that its again javed akthar and best renowned ppl coming together to make obvious good music but new ppl like aslam nachim,naresh Iyer,chitra etc have contributed to this classy stuff ..so I guess the youth is awakened in a true sense..good logic by the movie makers what say !!!!!!!!!

All and all the album is good but not worth collecting.Now don't take me in a wrong way but all tracks are not necesary to be preserved but for rehamn followers go ahead .Listen and decide for ur self !!!!!!!!! atleast my preferences wont let u down !!!!!!!!

1.luca chupi

2.patshala (both may be !!!!)

3.title track rangde basanti

4.khalbali

5.ik onkar
