Needs Improvement. Review on Ranchi Airport, India (IXR) Ranchi

The airport is small so it can get a little congested. Yesterday I checked-in to the airport and went to wait at the boarding gate. Not many seats were empty but I found one. Towards the boarding time they asked for those who had large carryons or two carryons to come forward. As it was close to the boarding time some passengers stood up and formed a line behind those who were bringing their carryons. Not one but two employees came and told us to sit down as they had not called for boarding. We found that a little strange since it was almost boarding time and there were hardly any seats that were empty. So I asked the person if the flight was delayed to which he replied No. I failed to understand why he was insisting that we sit. It may be a small matter but things like this can form an impression that can be less than desirable.
