Hi there,
Me and my family of 2 adults and 2 children( 4 and 11 years) had been to RFC on 29th May, 2014 This was our second visit, first being in 2006 . We had booking in Hotel Sitara for 2 N.
The start itself was too bad as even after calling and confirming the Hotel Staff Ms Geeta on 29th morning, she didn't inform us that the attractions in RFC are closed due to Telangana Bandh on that day. We had booked a cab for Rs 2000 to reach the place just to know that attractions are closed. She was adamant to say that even if RFC is closed the Hotel is open.
NO ONE WOULD LIKE TO SHELL OUT 11000 JUST TO STAY IN HOTEL LIKE SITARA AND WASTE WHOLE DAY.So we cancelled our booking for that night and went to Taj Falaknuma Place which was actually a fabulous royal experience.
The next day we went back to RFC. Its actually is a huge place but we did not find any update or improvement in FUNSDUSTAN especially which really needs improvisation.The new BIRD PARK was fantabulous which was just opened on 15th may.The Summer carnival parade was small but enjoyed by the kids.The guided tours were more better in our first visit as they used to stop at various place to allow the guest to get down and take snaps but this time they hardly stopped at one or two places. Some more shady places to rest for the guest must also be put up by RFC.he buffet spread was horrible but the al carte restaurant in sitara was good.
