I had recently read a very praiseworthy article in **Hindustan Times about the founder director of Raj Travels, Mr. Lalit Sheth.
Highly impressed by it, I too decided to join them for a European experience on their 12 day tour named Amazing Europe. My mom and I were to join them from Mumbai, and my dad was to join us from France as he was to fly from USA.
Their sales person, Mr. Bharat Anandpara, was a very smooth talker and inspite of all the visa problems highlighted by us, he assured us that the visa would not be a problem.
Having taken payments from us for all the three people, we were at the last minute informed that visas for my dad could not be done as they were not in a position to deliver the necessary documents required by the French consulate in USA, where my dad was applying for a French visa. Even their London office could not fax the required documents to us in India.
Inspite of this my mom and I decided to go ahead with the tour having been re assured by Bharat bhai that my dads money would be refunded to us the moment we get back from the tour.
The tour as such was ok and many things promised were not delivered.
However the main pinch was felt when the refund due to us was not given to us as promised and has not been given till date.
Its been five months since we returned. But Bharat keeps on delaying the refund giving one reason or the other.
Efforts to reach Lalit Sheth are nullified by the staff as either he is out of town , having lunch or in a meeting.
With great difficulty we spoke with another director of raj Travels, Mr. Yogesh. But having learnt of our problem even he has become in-accessible and efforts to reach him on the phone are answered giving the same excuses as for Lalit sheth.
I dont know what to do and to get in touch with whom to get my money back as the sum involved is huge.
However, I have become wary of such people who feature amongst the young generation having made money out of brilliant ideas, as high lighted by Hindustan Times. The news papers research was poor and these people, like Lalit Sheth, are minting money by defrauding people like us.
I request the readers not to travel with Raj Travels and if they do intend to do so, God Help Them.
