READ ON! (edited). Review on Rain - V.C. Andrews

There are so many good books being published now a days that have the most amazing idea's. I love reading so choosing five books will be the hardest thing for me to do. Although I want to write a little bit about the Vc. Andrews books which are growing very popular now a days. There is quite a lot of romance and it is not for kids to read under16 :) Although the reason this author's books are so wonderful is because they are very creative. Think of this example.

In a book called Rain there is a girl named Rain whose complexion is neither white nor black (shes not brown either haha) She lives in a ghetto where the blacker you are, the better. She lives with her mother, her sister, her brother and her father who drinks a lot. People at school think she is a snob because she refuses to go out with someone. Her sister gets involved with the wrong crowd and takes Rain to this club where she is introduced to a very dangerous Gang member named Jared Davis. Eventually Rain's sister gets killed (Read the book to get the details) and Rains mother tells her that she is adopted and Rain's white mother had rain when she was at young age.

Rain's brother confesses his love for rain (very unbrotherly) and is eventually sent to an army school. Rain's mother sends her to live with her white mother. (We later find out that Rain's mother was actually suffering from cancer and she was dying). Rain goes through many hardships. For example Rain's mother sends Rain to live with her cranky grandmother. They eventually develop a bond and Rain starts doing well. Not everybody in that family loves her though. Her Aunt Victoria is after the Hudson money, Rain's step sister thinks low of black people, and the list goes on and on. Rain is discriminated over and over again but she fights the discrimination with her pride. She learns new lessons over time and in the end she is only left with wonderful memories.

There are other books that continue from this and they are known as the Hudson Family Series. For example Eye of the storm, Lightening Strikes, and finally The End of the Rainbow (about Rains daughter). Each of these books bring a whole new adventure. At a point Rain's step brother falls in love with her, Rain gets paralysed, Grandmother Hudson dies, etc. Unfortunately Rain does not find true love until the fourth novel. There are many wonderful books by the extremely talented author. For example there is the Dollanganger family series, where four kids are locked up by their mother in an attic. All these books have passion, and once you get started on these books you'll never want to put them down until the end. There are numerous amounts of books which have captivated so many young women throughout this world.

I am sorry about the mistakes I had in this review before and it was done in quite a rush so there were many mistakes . I had to edit this review and add more description to it. This review is dedicated to my all-time fave author VC Andrews. This doesn't mean there aren't other talented authors. I read a variety of books with authors like Shakespeare (plays), Janelle Taylor, etc. Although I think that these books should be recognized because I have never read books that are this interesting.

I am starting on a new set of books called Broken Wings about three girls who are misunderstood in this book. One was a mistake the mother made having (the mother was sexually active at the age of 16 and had slept with many men), the other is rich and her family doesn not pay any attention to her AT ALL, the last is sent to live with her aunt and uncle who are very strict. All these girls end up in a special school where they are tortured. These girls go through many obstacles and challenges and their lives change forever.

With author's like Vc Andrews our views change towards others and the world. Some things change for the better and some for the worst but we never really know until we experience these feelings. This is what this author's books do to you.
