The Greatest ever !!. Review on Rahul Dravid

Hi All,

One of the greatest things that inspires me in this world is the sight of Dravid in the middle of the pitch, sweating profusely(yet radiates immense energy)  and supporting many batsmen through the innings. Dravid is one of the few gifted cricketers not just for India but for the world cricket. Since day-1 till date Dravid has shown that what professional cricket means and how it should be played.

When Dravid took over the captaincy, this man made one important no-nonsense statement to the cricketing fraternity which makes lot of sense he declared "Motivating isn't my role at this level", sadly there are some senior unprofessional cricketers playing for country who feel otherwise and they want Dravid to give them respect and salams as if they are Gods. Dravid's view is that at Team India level the biggest motivation is playing for the country and being pro-cricketers, they have to deliver goods with 200% efforts.

Ganguly's success is mainly due to Dravid, under Ganguly, Dravid had a test aggregate of over 102! Even in ODI's Dravids' avg. was very impressive. Apart from great performances Dravid supported Ganguly very well, he stood as stand-in captain several times and showed that he is class apart with some great decisions in favour of team India. Dravid's declaration when Sachin was at 194 is really good, it's b'cos of this decision India won the match. Well, What did Ganguly return in back to Dravid? He fought with Greg, made back to team with politics(Tiger came back through back door like a cat with Politics!). He came back only to torment both Dravid and Greg.

The pure intention of Ganguly's come-back was to send Grag n Cravid packing home with big influence from his father figure Dalmiya.

The ganging up in team India was due to Ganguly and Tendulkar both commonly gunning for Dravids n Greg's head. They succeeded, but the whole world saw the negative playing by Ganguly and Sachin and backed by Yuvi, Dhoni, Bhajji and Zaheer. Greg the frank man knows all the things and will surely write a book on the'mafia' one day! Some TV channels have even caught team spirit(s) at traing camps. Ganguly and Sachin demanded Dravid to bat first in case of toss win! Sachin continued to give headache to team there by suggesting that he play opening slot! Zaheer took Srisanth physically, many things happened. But ultimately all the unprofessionals are exposed and Dravid has emerged victorious both professionally and personally. The people who were eyeing his seat has to still play under Dravid for the next three series.

CNN-IBN poll of over 1000+ present and ex-cricketers said Dravid should be retained as captain(87%)!

Dravid is the only Indian player who has maintained top points in various world ranking for long periods.

Dravid is one of the few cricketers in the world to have maintained top notch fitness.

Dravid is the only Indian cricketer with same amount of fire in belly on Day-1 of his career . till date!

Team India has not seen such motivating leader till date, Dravid leads from front -100% Pakka!

It was Dravid who fought and got some chunk of BCCI's earnings to players.

And it is Dravid again who is knocking on BCCI's doors that there is no relation b/w endorsements and performance, BCCI will yield to suggestions made by Dravid, and all will gain.including the very GODS(dogs) who revolted to sink Dravid in WC 2007.

Yes, after the infamous exit from World Cup, Dravid never felt that he should step down.for other's fault.BCCI know the ground reality.they know in detail the acts of misbehaviour by GODS.and that's why BCCI felt that the skippers' baton be returned back to Dravid, the reliable and professional character Team India has ever come across.

And now for the GODS, the writing on the wall is clear! " Play hard under Dravid or you'll be sacked unceremoniously, no matter what your achievements are".

Dravid is clearly the best ever in India's cricketing History!

Update 4thMay2007: Ganguly's slow playing is attributed to his contract with PUMA, which says he has to spend more time at the crease, this was revealed by Sharad Pawar himself. It's clear that Ganguly was part of team for PUMA and not for winning!
