As I am writing this review there has been a hot debate if Rahul Dravid - Mr Dependable has tampered with the ball as shown on TV. For starters ball tampering is something where you try to change the shape of the cricket ball in some way or the other -- so it can be anything from applying chewing gum to scratching the ball with Caps of Coca Cola Bottle. Before proceeding, I would like to tell something about the man who is in question here: RAHUL DRAVID!!
Rahul is most respected player not only amongst his own team memebers but also within other cricket playing nations.
HE has not earned this reputation by one good knock in the middle of the field, but by 12 plus years of hard work and dedication to the gentleman's game of cricket( not sure if it's a gentleman's game anymore). When Sachin, Schewag and others where accused of ball tampering in SA few years back, we found out that how stupid it was of then ICC refree Mike Deness.
I am sure Clive Lyyod, present ICC match refree who fined Dravid will look the same in coming years.
Now, Why on earth would Dravid Tamper with the ball when India is doing so well in Australia. Does Dravid know of any mechanics/engineering (not to mention he is a Commerce Graduate) by which one can make the ball swing 30 degress in and out by just applying yellow jelly (which he applied by accident while he was eating during drinks break) on the ball ?
I am sure there is no such thing which can be done as I have also played good amount of cricket in my earlier days and can safely bet on this. This incident has given Australian players and their some ignorant, stupid cricketing media persons to beliitle India's success in last few months and give a false hope of -- Dravid and Indian team crumbling under pressure. Fox Sports news writer says Dravid did it on purpose and that is the reason Indian bowlers have achieved so much swing of late on Australians pitch. For God's sake give me a break --- If India had to do it before why would'nt TV camera men catched it in last 2 months or so ? And anyone arguing about India's good show down under in last few months should be either Myopic or does'nt know ABC about the game.
Now, Australian Captain Ricky Ponting who does'nt have ''balls'' to say directly what he means tries to ride on both boats saying Rahul would be at some fault -- Come on you looser accept your defeat in a royal way, you are beaten badly by this team!!!
Last but not the least -- Rahul will come back strong after this episode , All the best Rahul, we are with you!!
