'Shahrukh' centred storyline. Review on Raees

Raees is a bollywpod movie starring Shahrukh Khan( Raees), Nawazuddin Siddique( IPS Majmudar), Mahira Khan( Aathiya) mainly.

The plot is all about the journey of Raees from his childhood and how he becomes the biggest alcohol dealer in the dry state of gujarat. IPS majmudar is after Raees as he tries to smuggle the alcohol through the state in an illegal way. Raees holds a soft side for his community and society members. He does not discriminates in religions. And he is a protector to his people from every crisis they face. The story further continues and eventually Raees gets tangled in the strings of debts and betrayal from his own friends and god fathers which leads him to death at the end.

The cast performance is good. Nawazuddin gives justice to his role and his dialogues. Shahrukh is looking good as Raees but does not make you feel that you are watching a grey character. Mahira is only for the romantic side in the movie which is something non relatable.

The soundtracks are good in themselves but does not fits in the situations. However, the item number and a romantic song is good and perfectly fits the situation.

The action in the film is not good. Too much cable work is done in the movie to give some cool shots but clearly looks fake. Although one riot and gang war scene is amazing in terms of action of hand to hand fight.

The cinematography is average and does not feels effective with the locations. The dialogues of the movie are effective and good which is a plus point.

The negative point of the movie is the plot which holds some obvious turns for a typical cop-thief movie. In the city of fatehpura( raees's city) there are more bigger dealers than raees who are in the same business of smuggling but IPS only finds interest in Raees which is illogical and feels like a plot made for movie only and does not feel real.

The script could be good but it only makes you disappointed. Hence, a one time watch movie
