Well I haven’t written any review for so many months as I have been busy with school but now I am on vacation so I am gonna write as I am back .
Its almost gonna be a year since Radiocity 91 Fm came to Bangalore and the music world has entirely changed .The citizens of Bangalore city no longer depend on cassettes n CD’s for good music. Radiocity is the station coming in live and loud 24hrs a day with good music to last year. Besides giving the hip n happening music at the right time, the RJ’s are suit everybody’s taste and types. It’s been a happening thing since the day it was introduced .
The day starts in Bangalore when the sun is up and Geeta Modgil with the Breakfast Show, the hottest RJ with an amazing accent n attitude. Celebrity interviews, polls, contests are done through the medium of phones, sms and email with great music, interesting news, latest gossip and rumors floating anywhere around the world. You name it, they got it.
If you think that Radiocity only exists for the younger generation then you got it all wrong as the 11o clock show with Sheetal Iyer playing the best of the old melodies for the older generation. Sheetal also does specials on weekends.
Its 2 o clock and ohh my gawd its time for Johnzie, the madman with no plan. The request show is conducted through emails and trust me; it’s the best music available at this time. From Bon Jovi to Nsync to Devdas, whatever the people want. Some of the listeners get to be on air too. Don’t miss it.
It’s 4-o clock, time for caffeine n Rohit Barker enters the studios with amazing contests where you can win around 1000 bucks because your name is common enough to be in their phone book or if you can seriously can answer some questions, premieres of the latest tracks with a very funny way of speaking Hindi.
Its 6 0 clock and its time for Hotair with Suresh Venkat, the localite of Bangalore giving you traffic updates, know more about Bangalore, latest gossips in the Hindi film industry, the meals ready contest with dedications, stock updates, money talks. Well actually, Suresh Venkat has a voice, which resembles Amitabh Bachchan.
Its 10-o clock and time for The Late Show with Priya Ganapati giving you all kinds of international music mainly rock which is loved and adored by the rock lovers in Bangalore.
In addition we have the Worldchart show and the club show for the dance lovers. How could I forget the Kannada classes by Lingoleela n the various ads (which I find irritating)
All in all, one of the best things that happened to Bangalore!!!!!
