I would like to share my views on this hospital. I visited to this hospital on Feb 6th to take care of my mother's issue with her nails in the finger.
Due to some infection which she had long back the nail is completely about to fall from its place. She wanted to take a professional help to remove the same.
We visited the hospital and around 8 patients were there. We were asked to wait and after about an hour of wait the doctor called us inside. The doctor was nice and looked at the finger and told us it will automatically fall if you want to get it removed now we can do it. We did not want to take any chances so asked the doctor to remove it.
Doctor asked us to wait outside and a sister took us to the major OT ( Labour Ward ) just to remove the nail ( could have been done at the same place though as it needed a small nail cutter ). Around 5 sisters and one doctor came saw the nail and gave a local anesthesia to my mother.
Then they waited for about five minutes and pulled the nail with a forceps type of tool. After that they put a ban aid and sent my mother. Then we were asked to pay the fees in the reception. This point lot of drama started. A old lady who always sits in the reception ( may be owners mother ) is the final word.
She asked ten nurses about the incident and called the doctor and then made the conclusion as to what is the price. Then she looked at me and said pay Rs six hundred.The whole procedure took for about 2 mins could have been done in a normal as there is no blood or cut involved but we were forced to undergo all this.
I coughed up six hundred rupees and have decided to get in touch with consumer court for the same.I will not recommend this hospital for any thing it is run by a family and they have no concern for the normal people. Paediatrician charges Rs150/- per visit and gynecologist around the same depending on the face value of the patient.
Both of them are husband and wife ( Owners as well ) and loot the patients in and out. Would like to ask government to make some rules so that this sophisticated looting can be controlled and poor people are taken care as the other people.
