Rabbit at rest is one of the Rabbit series in which the writer describes the beast in his resting days of retirement time. This time is no longer the time of excitement and fun, so is the book that seems lacking excitement and fun. The book represents the pangs and pains of the old and the feelings they owe towards their last goal. Even the thoughts of the protagonist are full of death. Whenever he feels the death approaching, he feels an urge to eat. Sophisticated enough the book depicts a clear picture of what the retirees feel.
