Inconsistent Direction. Lacks those hard hitting Dialouges...aka Vishal Bharadwaj (omkara) & prakash Jha (gangajal). Those unbelievable twists..aka ..abbas Mustan movies. Political Rivalry can be best enjoyed when you expect the unexpected.. Prakash Jha went a bit soft this time.....
Didnt understand the 2 min stint of nasseruddin shah & that too with a smooch (was absolutely not necessary. The item# & Both the songs Mora piya & Bheegi si Bhaagi si..were cut short, felt like the romantic# should have been kept. The Plot was too Predictive. Could eventually guess what would happen next...
The Revelation on my part was Ranbir Kapoor. After Rocket Singh. He has once again showed what a versatile actor he is.(all in the genes)......
Ajay devgan was repetitive. He looks more comfortable doing comedy now a days. Nana Patekar...was good in bits & Parts. Refreshing to see Manoj Bajpayee in a suitable comback role. Katrina Kaif...scored a ton with her Sonia Gandhi look alike....Her accent did work wonders on the second half on the stage but the same accent in the 1st half was a bit irritating. Arjun Rampal tried his best (his hard work reflects in his acting) & he did gave a matured performance. Shruti Seth was Shocking (never expected).
All in all, few scenes were really good. Ranbir's cunning look when he proposes to katrina for marraige...Arjun rampal killing the inspector. Nana patekar nominating ajay's father for the elections....ranbir & Katrina's speech on the stage. The car bomb which killed Arjun. Manoj Bajpayee addressing the media..But somehow somewhere i felt it lacked that RAW appeal. That shrewd instinct which such kind of movies must have. Nevertheless a good watch for this weekend.
