Ra One Reviewed. Review on Ra One

After Months of spamming the world with its promotions Ra One has finally released

Touted as Indias answer to the Hollywood Super Hero movies it is one of the most ambitious projects in Hindi cinema

Has the Hindi Cinema finally got its World class Super Hero movie.nope we have to wait for a while

The Movie:

Shekhar(Shahrukh) is a London Based game developer.He is a typical geeky nerd, always messed up kind-of guy trying to win over his kid.Sonia(Kareena) is his wife, she is loving caring woman who has an obsession for gaalis, Prateek(Armaan) is their son, another typical brat.Prateek doesnt like his fathers uncool mannerisms and Shekhar determined to win his kid's heart decides to make a video game for him as per his choice in which the Villian is much more Powerful than the Hero.Due to certain events the Villan Ra.One come out of the movie and Kills Shekhar and goes on Hunt to Kill Prateek.The only thing that can save them is the Hero G.One.Prateek manages to bring G.One out of the game and then goes on chain of Fight sequences but finally G.One manages to emerge Victorious

Review:

As the promos had promised Ra.One's Visual effects were great, the block effects the Laser light and the action sequences were good.But Only Effects cant make a great movie.Shahrukh and the Director Anubhav Sinha forgot the most important part of the movie, a good script.A lot of scenes were copied from Terminator 2, Iron Man and many more even the Background music was copied from Tron.Certain parts of the movie were Bad like the Train Sequence which ends up with the crashing of CST station building, the director might not have seen the structure properly as no train ever running in full speed would crash down the structure and that too in the direction of BMC HQ.The climax was finished in a hurry, level 3 supposed to be most difficult was cleared rather easily

The performance by the lead actors was not good G.One is a continuation of Rizwan Khan from My Name is Khan, Arjun Rampal had hardly any screen time, he was seen in second half for just a few mins and Kareena had hardly anything to do in the movie.The only saving grace is Armaan

The music was dissappointing, Vishal-Shekhar had done much better in the past

Screenplay is Bad, lot of vulgar jokes and Shahrukh touching Kareena at certain areas of her body doesnt look funny

Direction is good in patches Anubhav sinha could have certainly done a better job

The only winners are the Visual effects team

Conclusion:

Ra.One is a good attempt towards making Hollywood like cinema but our Filmmakers should not forget the basics.Just like Body Guard and Ready were for Die-Hard Salman Fans this one is for the Die-Hard Shahrukh Fans
