Value for Money:

I am using the 8700G model for more than 2 months now. In India, the service is provided by Airtel.

Style, looks:

This phone looks way better than the models that were available earlier. The color screen has a fantastic display and it looks very fancy. This phone comes with a headset unlike the previous models.

Usability:

I am not a gadget freak and neither am I tech-savvy as far as mobile phones are concerned. I found it very difficult to use this phone in the beginning, especially finding my way around the qwerty keyboard and the trackwheel. I used to earlier think that the trackwheel is the only way to do most of the things but I am slowly learning that there are some very good shortcuts to do things which would otherwise need to trackwheel.

I still dont know a good way to quickly search through my address book. I currently use the trackwheel to click on the phonebook icon and then type the first letters to search. I am sure there is a quicker way to do this, just that I dont know how.

Documentation:

This is one part that sucks. Apart from the initial 'getting started' stuff, they do not give good documentation and you are on your own to discover things by yourself. I usually do not get as much time to keep playing with the phone to learn new things so my learning curve is bigger.

Usual blackberry stuff:

Email and phone features are good. It seems to take forever to download attachments though and many attachments just dont open, neither does it give any error. Internet access is pretty decent and websites like bbc.co.uk and m.gmail.com offer a good experience with a handheld. Outlook email and calendar are good too though I would have preferred a one-key access to the Calendar.

The calculator is too difficult to use.

The OS seems to be slightly unstable though, there are times when the phone automatically shuts down and restarts without a reason. This has happened to me 4-5 times till now.
